This little controller is really cool but it doesn't have pass-through charging to charge your phone while playing. No usb c port to the phone.

I also wish it could accommodate thick phone protective cases. Some reviews online have trouble with fitting the camera section of the phone with a slim case on. Or a phone with a camera that sticks out too much. It's a hassle having to take the case on and off plus sometimes it slowly damages the case as you take it off repeatedly.

I think some of the reviews mentioned no headphone jack port. So that may turn off some people but it definitely has blue tooth of course.

I currently have a razer kishi controller and you can remove these rubber pads where the phone rests inside and actually allow some phones with thicker cases to fit in much better. Unfortunately it doesn't have Bluetooth so you cannot pull the controls apart and use them separately or off the phone.

It would just be nice to have Bluetooth for times when you don't want to hold the phone and controllers together. Plus it would also be nice if you could use each Bluetooth controller separately for two players.

I'm on the edge about picking it up it looks very nice though... kind of want to get it but I don't know....

I had a Kishi (not the V2) and it was nice, but the pass through charging never worked with the phone I used, and it destroyed the USB-C port on my phone. I've never had an issue with Bluetooth controllers myself, sometimes I use my Series X controller with a phone clip and it works great. So for me at least, this is exactly what I'm looking for.

I have the same version as you. The company apparently has a specific list of phones that pass through charging works best with. Others it isn't as smooth.

Try plugging the USB c charging cable first before connecting the kishi to your phone.

You can also try going to settings - connected devices - and try switching which device controls who. Or if you have the option try turning on which device charges who.

Those are my two work arounds so far. It might just be a software issue?

The main thing I liked about the kishi is that you can remove the rubber inserts to fit a thicker phone.

I think I'd get the turtle of it was a little cheaper. But I guess I was asking for a lot since it's a $100 item.

Do you have a Motorola phone?

I had a Motorola, wasn't on their list. I tried several work arounds. I'm pretty sure it messed up the charge port on my phone. Otherwise it was a pretty rad device. The V2 might be better since it looks a little more sturdy.

This won't fit with an iPhone 15, I ended up returning this model, getting the iOS version on Amazon.

Pretty disappointed in it, even with modified padding for iPhone camera cutout, it doesn't feel very snug or secure. On top of that the right controller will randomly disconnect thru gaming sessions. Then you have to turn off both, and reconnect them again, often multiple times. Updated the firmware and the issue still persists. Might as well just use Bluetooth an actual Xbox controller with a clip or get one that connects thru the USB-C port.

I use an old (6+ year) Ipega clamp-on controller similar to this, it is surprisingly usable outside of 3 or 4 hour battery life. It's a wonderful way to turn your android into a extremely capable emulation device. I wish more people would go this route rather than buying those $40 cheap chinese shady consoles with 800 pirated games on board. You android has comparatively huge, high resolution screen, massive storage, way more accurate emulators on the Play store, superior speakers, hugely more computational power, etc..

I'm tempted but I have the Ipega and a no-name similar clamp-on controller, I just don't need more crap cluttering up my home.

Damaged c port is not good. I'll have to keep that in mind while using mine. If a damaged c
Port is a common thing then Bluetooth is a much better option. I just wish the fitting was better for phones with thicker cases. Thanks for letting me know about that issue!

Is that a controller with a built-in clamp? Or a separate clamp you use with another controller? How is the balance on that? I read that those have an odd balance point. someone mentioned that if you can position the screen right under the controller it becomes much more manageable in weight. What kind of angles can you get with your controller clamp? I tried to look for your controller online but I seem to get a lot of different pictures of different products. Do you have like a serial number or something more specific to look it up with?

https://www.amazon.com.br/CONTROL...8dd83c8a74 This is the one I have, it clamps onto what would be the top and bottom of the phone if it were held in portrait orientation.

This is the correct response. I use my G8+ with my Galaxy Z Fold 6 that's in a case with an S Pen holder. It fits very well and the controller itself is excellent. It's more expensive, but you'll buy once and cry once.

I previously had the original Razer Kishi and it convinced me never to use these closed frame controllers again. I couldn't use it with my Fold 3 when I had it. It worked with my Note 10+, but I had to take the case off each time to use it.

Buy a right angle USB-C adapter.

Problem solved.

They even make magnetic adapters so there's no risk of damaging the port.

While a direct USB-C connection is nice, it really limits flexibility especially with devices like a Z Fold or tablet. See prior commenter. I'm using a RIG Nacon MG-X Pro (perhaps not made anymore) with a BT connection on Z Fold 6 and it's very responsive, low polling.

Also I can use the controller separately, kind of like detached Joy-cons. Very handy.
