Canola oil and soy mean this is definitely not junkless.

What's the issue with canola oil or soy? Just looked up canola oil and says:

Summary

Canola oil was created from rapeseed to produce a safer oil that has a neutral flavor and high smoke point. It contains favorable fats, including healthy monounsaturated fats, omega-3 fatty acids, and omega-6 fatty acids. When substituted for saturated fat in the diet, canola oil may be heart-protective and offer other favorable health benefits.".

It does mention inflammation but only if you go crazy with it. So like everything else, moderation is key.

There are 130 calories in a 1.1 oz bar. There are 152 in a 1.1 oz bar of Snickers. I wouldn't call these wholesome by any means.
There's also 180 calories in 1.1 oz of a dried coconut. Are you specifically saying calories in general are bad? Is a snickers bar more wholesome then a dried coconut because it has less calories? I think it has more to do with the content of the calories then the amount, unless of course your trying to lose weight. Not saying this is more healthy than fruit, but it isn't as bad as a snickers bar, either that's just silly.

Exactly. I could eat only McDonald's for my diet for a month, but I will lose weight if I'm at a calorie deficit.

It's a shame these brands market as healthy when they are not very close. This should be branded as sort of Junk but not full blown junk

The documentary Super Size Me shows what happens when someone eats only McDonald's for a month. No surprises, but a very interesting journey!

Junkless?!?!?!?

First ingredient lists CANE SUGAR AND CANOLA OIL.

brown rice syrup? wtf is that?

Then later more canola oil.

6g of added sugar.

Pure garbage. Just get something that tastes better and doesnt pretend to be healthy.

I missed the notes on one of the pictures.

**As compared to the leading national kids brand which contains 7g sugar per 24g bar. JUNKLESS granola bar contains 6g sugar per 31g bar.**

Does anyone think its possible to contact this company as call them on this nonsense?

Not all calories are equal. There are ~26g of added sugar in a Snickers vs 6g for this bar.

I also glanced online and it seems Snickers Ice Cream bars have 3g of protein vs this Junkless's 2g. I wont dispute, however, that an ice cream treat miiiight be 10x tastier than any given granola bar.

The problem with canola oil is it is highly processed using hexane, while some of that hexane remains in the final product and ingested. The highly processed nature of canola oil also increases inflammation in the body.

Soy: soybeans in the US are GMO and heavily sprayed with glyphosate (round up). Round up and pesticides cannot be "washed away" so you're ending up ingesting it.

In a 1.1 oz bar of Snickers, there are 14 grams of sugar. You know, they do have different sizes of bars. A search engine is your friend.
