Bad news: the expensive Logitech mice are known to develop this issue too

I bought one of these the last time they were sold from Woot. It was $35 and I had to return it in less than a week. The keyboard would not stay connected

I bought this set in Costco a couple years ago for like 40 bucks. I stopped using the mouse after a couple months as the interference was bad. The keyboard is ok but nothing special.

My wife used MK850 at the office for years. She likes it fine but the mouse is a little small. She is 5"4" for reference. I got her Logitech MX Keys Combo for Business | Gen 2 when it is on sales which came out about $110 - $120 after tax and CC discount, CC cashback & online cashback. She loves the mouse since it fit the palm and reduce her finger pain much better. She palms the mouse. If you are familiar with Logitech mouse button click, the MX mouse buttons are squishy compare to other model.

Just a thought for those who are willing to pay for daily use equipment.
Your wife's natural grip is usually something a bit larger than most for reference 😉

Can't find 2 versions mentioned other than reddit
Amazon's page for the MK850 shows a 2017 and 2024 model. I'm also curious, but would assume these Woot ones are 2017 as well.

I need a new mouse and this combo is cheaper than the brand new mouse equivalent that comes with it, but something about the design of these are not attractive to me. For example the full logitech branding is ugly, and the 123 buttons on the mouse look weird.

Yeah I guess I don't look at the mouse too often since I'm looking at the screen.

But it functions and corresponds to the same one two three that's on the keyboard to indicate which device it's connected to. the keyboard has three individual buttons where the mouse has a single button with an indicating light which it's set to.

1 is set to my work laptop
2 is set to my personal laptop next to it

I would not buy cheap logitech mouse or set. I had a few Logitech MK345 and they all have double click issue or release the mouse when you do drag-drop.
I'm on my 4th triathlon bc of this. I've done the open up fix with WD40 which buys you a few weeks but bc the switches suck, it will keep happening. But.. I love this mouse, so I blow $20-30 every year or so

How prevalent is this amongst different Logitech models? I guess sometimes people will solder a new switch but that's probably for some high end gaming mouse? Is it something they've corrected with the new series, and is it a lot/all of the ones with unifying receiver compatibility?

About 15 months ago, I bought the MK850 combo for about $75 after trading in an old mouse at Best Buy.

But I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it. It's good, not great. Keyboard is sturdy. I don't use mice that often, but I haven't had any of the clicking problems referenced in the thread. No noticeable response delays (I don't use it for gaming). I drag and drop files all the time with no problem. I use the receiver (USB-A) through a dongle to a 2013 MBP. I only wish that the scroll wheel was a little more accurate and tactile.

The mouse fits perfect from the back in my palm to the length of my index finger. My middle finger is off the end a little but perfect for a right click. For reference, I wear large size men's gloves with slim fingers.

The keyboard is powered by 2 AAA batteries; the mouse has 1 AA battery. ETA: I've only changed the mouse battery once so far.

Double click issue is causes by oxidation inside the switch. Unfortunately, it happens for all of them, even the most expensive ones, probably due to not gold plating the copper contact ends. If it happened to you once, it will happen with your future logitech mice, because probably your hands are more on the sweaty side and causes a more oxidative environment for it. I have a dozen logitech mice and interestingly it never happened to me for the last 10 years.

I'm not sure, I have like 4 triathlons and one crappier one that comes with the cheaper bundle and this happened to all of them. My kids' have higher end gaming mouses (50-$200) each and none of them have experienced this, but they also usually by wired ones that will die from fraying of cables or USB port issues. as the poster said below, this is just moisture and not much they can do, I wonder in dryer climates (less humidity) if this is the same. Either way, its one of those Black Friday things I get every year - a triathlon and batteries

Mine arrived. Mouse connects fine. Keyboard won't connect. Returning it. I'd stay away next time.

Edit: Had to download the logi software and was able to connect the keyboard after some coercing.
