Is this supposed to compete with Hoka?

I have 2x pairs of Ghost 14 and picked up a pair of Ghost Max 2 last month. There is definitely a lot more cushion especially in the heel. My only beef is the tongue feels noticeable. What I love about the original Ghost is it doesn't feel like I have anything on my feet.

Before deciding on a shoe, I went to Fleet Feet and tried all the different brands on to see which I found to be the most comfortable. I wear a size 15 so sometimes I am limited in options. Others such as New Balance, a 14 Wide was more comfortable than a 15 Standard.

Thanks, I've been looking at these shoes but wanted to wait for a sale. Perfect timing. They also offer military/first responder/teacher discount so I was able to get them for 89. You can also sign up for emails for 5 bucks off

FWIW all 4 of my local Academy stores have the Brooks Ghost Max pictured last (blue/green/black/white) for $50. I also picked up a pair of tan Brooks Glycerin Stealthfit 21 for $55 and a pair of women's Brooks Glycerin 21 for $50. I bought all 3 pair this past weekend, in-store only. Sizes varied at each store.

It was 50% off of all clearance shoes. Extreme YMMV but worth a look if you have an Academy Sports nearby. For reference I'm in southeastern Louisiana.

You are asking if a shoe was designed to compete with a company? Hoka makes more than one shoe. It would compete with a great max stack, max cushioned shoe by any manufacturer. I would compare it to a Novablast 4 or Fresh Foam X More v5. Skyflow is probably similar, but I don't buy Hokas.

The Hoka max stack, daily, non-plated is the Bondi.

@ Sonnysunshine17 - This is a New Balance More series, Asics Nimbus, Hoka Bondi competitor. If someone is looking for a comfortable daily wear running shoes, I'd probably try out the Max or one of these. Foot shape, how firm or squishy you like the cushion, feel of the upper and of course price is going to determine which is for you. They're all great shoes.

I have this shoe mainly for work and an occasional run/jog. If there are deals I would like one more pair in a diff color to mix it up. Comfy. Does the job. Looks great and not over the top.

What does the post mean by, "You do not need these because you are on your feet all day"? Are they not good for daily standing/walking?
