It didn't pop up in my store as being available to sell until this past Saturday.
I checked Tuesday and it was no longer in stock.
So these are selling
So they gave me $247 in store credit and turned around and sold it for $275. They made $28 on that transaction
But with this bonus, they are only making $3 after selling it 😂
-Console
-HDMI cable
-Power cord
-Controller
I also recommend having it fully updated when you bring it in, as they will update it on their WiFi and it took quite a while in the store I was in (I hadn't turned it on in months) and don't reset it before you bring it in. If you reset it before you bring it in, they have to set it up and log in and it takes extra time. If you bring it in with your stuff on it, it will be faster and they will factory reset it in front of you.
Controllers have been going down to 30-40ish on good sales and I'd bet Black Friday will have similar prices. I wanted to keep my controller but this trade in deal is too good, I'll just wait for a controller deal. Preferably at Gamestop so I can use the gift card haha.

5:1 lifetime sales PS5 vs xbox s/x. Yeah, clearly one is the superior and everyone knows it.
It unwise to sit on credit for extended periods of time. It meant to reduce $ on XYZ and inflation isn't helping. Granted there nothing to lose by waiting as GS isn't going out of business but at some point credit gotta be used. Moving the goal post again and again for the sake of better deal isnt doing u any favor lol
For those that have not looked at the form factor of the S. It is quite small. It fits in compact locations much better (for example in our basement bar/kitchen behind the television. You can't really wall mount and hide a full size console. We use it for games and streaming video.
Also, have you seen a disc after 4 kids have had it?
If you actually cared about employees just trying to make a living, then you wouldn't risk them getting fired by doing shady shit like this.
Surely plenty of other people have upgraded from the 512 Series S to a Series X and would like to trade it in but keep their controller. So what is the value with no controller? This is a very relevant question to this deal.
