No DRAM. If you need/want DRAM, you'll have to get the more expensive 990 Pro.

I miss the days when a 990 pro could be had for 110

Personally, spend $8 extra and get the Solidigm P44 Pro Series 2TB for $138.59 which is comparable to the 990 Pro in performance

No. FWIW I used a 1TB 980 for a while with no DRAM and was very pleased with the speed, was coming from a SATA SSD. Can't say I notice a different with a newer 2TB drive now that has DRAM (bought for the size on sale).
The Solidigm P44 Pro mentioned above also has DRAM... Just saying.. Solidigm is the company that purchased Intel's storage division

True for SATA SSDs, not as true for HMB NVMe drives.

I actually bought the 1TB version of this PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD when Amazon had a limited time flash sale on it for $75 back in March earlier this year so at $130 for the 2TB variant, it's a good deal.

It is at staples in-store right now. My local store let me order it at the in-store price even though it was out of stock there. You do need to use a few coupons to get it down to 110, though.
You're talking about the 1tb tho right?

Dram lowers the risk of corruption from power loss. If Windows locks up and refuses every attempt to restart it without a hard power button press,a dram-less drive is typically at a higher risk of corruption if it's being written to when it loses power. Windows can lock up and still keep writing to the drive. I discovered that the hard way. Some are very fast but that doesn't make you feel any better if it instantly destroys years of information.

Is this compatible with the eufy homebase 3?
I assume you're just trolling but if not you do not want to use SSD with security camera systems you don't need the speed and you will be dramatically shortening the lifespan of the storage. Just get a (mechanical) hard drive if you REALLY want to stay in the (not actually 2k or 4k if you do 24/7) eufy HB ecosystem

Nonsense Samsung tax. The Spatium M482 was $30+ cheaper days ago and is a far superior drive.

Can I put these in a NAS?
Depends on your use case. It would probably work well for read intensive applications (e.g., read cache or vm storage), but for a mixed or write intensive workload it probably wouldn't fair well due to the lack of DRAM. However, it does have a decent TBW rating, 1200TB.
https://www.samsung.com/us/comput...9e2t0b-am/
It also depends on the NAS being used. Some may block it or void warranty/support if you don't use approved nvme drives. Also, if the NAS doesn't have support for NVMe 1.2 features, HMB won't be available, which will impact write performance significantly and read performance to a lesser extent.
