Saw this offer on multiple chase cards. Language is a little unclear as to whether two payments with the first being small and the second being $50 would qualify or if you need 2x $50 payments, but here it is. I got it 3/6. Word is there might be a VZ version floating around but I have not seen it personally.

Yes. You can pay manually with a card and keep your autopay discount.
Not true at all, I have my auto-pay set to a debit card that has nothing on it and I manually pay with my credit card before my bill is due. I still recieve the autopay discount.
The autopay discount does require bank ACH or debit card payments but you can log in and pay all or a portion of the bill with a credit card before the automatic payment is triggered.

If anyone gets the 50$ credit for back to back payments on one of the chase cards please let us know--normally chase offers don't take more than 2-3 days for the few I used.
Not for this offer but I've done that for AT&T offers on Chase cards and it worked fine.

Currently I have autopay discount with T-Mobile, are folks here saying if you pay in full with a CC every month while still have auto pay linked to a debit account, that T-Mobile might remove autopay discount?

Screw T Mobile. They recently raised my legacy Magenta plan (part of their prior marketing was about them not raising rates), so I'm in the process of switching to their competitor Visible with their port in deal from T Mobile.
"T-Mobile customers: Bring your number & phone to Visible, pay $15/mo, guaranteed 5 years. Use code BYEBYETMO at checkout.
* Terms apply."

Same here. Although I do let the auto pay go through for like $5/month, I pay the rest with a Chase card that gets me 5% back on cell charges.

yeah, I autopay through a bank account but just go manually pay will a CC each month for points and my account is never debited. and sometimes there are cell phone/utility related credits you can get
but these defeats the purpose on why most would not want their bank info on file. TMO always getting hacked.

You can, but no auto-pay discount available for credit cards.

To keep autopay discount while also using a credit card, you just manually pay everything except $1 and let the ACH autopay that $1 you'll still get the autopay discount. A bit more work but with US Bank cash + you'll earn 5% so it's pretty good imo.

You can split your payment and pay most of your bill with a credit card and leave small amount for auto draft from your bank account
I have my auto pay set up with a debit card but I pay my entire bill before the auto pay is due to pull with a CC and I get the discount every month. I really don't think there is a need to split up the payment.

Yep I just set a reminder to manually pay with a credit card every month. So I keep the auto pay discounts and I get 5x points.

This is exactly what I was thinking... T-Mobile forced everyone to ACH a year or so ago. Can't use credit card and keep plan discounts.

I usually pay before autopay date with CC, but yeah I needed to add bank account for keeping discounts.
I used debit card(gift card) which worked for sometime later they forced me to add bank account.
I opened a separate bank account which doesn't even have money and linked it lol

I will try gift card thingy again though to remove my bank information and see if it let me keep discounts or not

I work for T-Mobile. You can pay your monthly bill with your credit card every month before your autopay payment method and you will still keep your autopay discount.

I put my debit card on autopay and pay it off with credit card 2 weeks in advance and i still have my autopay discount.
