Saw this offer on multiple chase cards. Language is a little unclear as to whether two payments with the first being small and the second being $50 would qualify or if you need 2x $50 payments, but here it is. I got it 3/6. Word is there might be a VZ version floating around but I have not seen it personally.

Yes. You can pay manually with a card and keep your autopay discount.
Not true at all, I have my auto-pay set to a debit card that has nothing on it and I manually pay with my credit card before my bill is due. I still recieve the autopay discount.
The autopay discount does require bank ACH or debit card payments but you can log in and pay all or a portion of the bill with a credit card before the automatic payment is triggered.

Idk how they decide to target this offer. I have a tmobile plan, but I got the Verizon offer on all my accounts. Kind of lame to get offers for carriers I don't have, but some other chase customers get a discount on the carrier I have. Just a toss of the dice I guess.

I'm pretty sure the purpose of these offers is to encourage people to shop at places they don't usually go to or spend on services they don't already use. You probably won't be targeted for T-Mobile offers because you've already paid your bills with a Chase card.

This is exactly what I was thinking... T-Mobile forced everyone to ACH a year or so ago. Can't use credit card and keep plan discounts.

Keep auto pay on but pay early with credit card. As long as you pay before autopay and don't turn it off, you still get autopay discount and pay with card

There is an autopay discount for non-credit card payments?! May i ask how much we are talking about?
Basically T-Mobile used to provide you with a discount for having a payment method on file. On my account with I think 12 lines it was $5/line but capped at $40 a month. About a year ago they said the autopay discount would no longer apply to credit cards, so most users moved their payment on file from credit card to bank account. But as several users have pointed out, if you keep your bank details on file for autopay but pay off the bill prior to due to date using a credit card you still get the autopay discount (as well as any perks from your credit card provider).

Dates shown are kind of confusing. It says "Offer expires on 10/14" and then "make two payments by 11/1". For T-mobile offer, it's a little better as it says "make the second payment by 11/1". But, for AT&T and Verizon offers, it just says "make two payments by 11/1" always.

This makes me wonder what they really mean by the offer being expired on 10/14. Does it mean that the offer must be added to the card by that date, or that at least one payment must be made before that date? The offer is moved to the expired tab on 10/14; however, it's going to be shown on the expired tab if you haven't made the second payment by 10/14 anyways whether or not you make the first payment before 10/14. So, I'm a little puzzled.

For example, would this offer be triggered if I make two payments today, considering it says the offer expires on 8/26 while payments must be made by 10/10?

My chase shows a similar offer for AT&T

Make 2 payments of $37.5 each and get cash back of $75. I don't have AT&T so can't use this.

I have T-Mobile but chase credit card is not showing the T-Mobile offer.

I have insurance for paying my bill via credit card. Up to $800 per incident and 2x per yr so $1600. Not worth the $50 for me.

This is exactly what I do with the Tmobile sharks.

First, I dedicate a "sock drawer" bank account for autopay (Tmobile seems to allow themselves to get hacked every other month, they aren't getting my main bank account!). I leave enough in that account to cover a monthly bill plus around $50. If I forget or have an emergency, all the bill is covered that month. Set that up on Tmobile as my "Autopay" account.

NOW- Once the bill comes out, I log in to Tmobile and make a one-time payment from my preferred CC for a few cents less than the full bill. Depending on my mood I configure to pay it that day or in the future at least 5 days before Tmobile pulls from the Autopay account. (I give myself slack in case any problems with the CC).

Once the bank account is set, really all I do is spend a couple minutes each month logging in and paying ALMOST the entire bill from the saved credit card on my account.

Have done this since Tmobile tightened the screws and I always get the autopay discount despite nearly everything still going on the credit card. I have a feeling Tmobile will try getting even nastier about this loophole in the future, at which time maybe it's time to go prepaid.
Do you have an alert setup for when the TMO bill is created? Is that from TMO or do you just create a calendar alert?

That insurance is only for the month that you paid the bill for. Unless you think you're gonna break your phone this month, taking that free $50 for the month and going back to your other card makes more sense.

Also, pretty sure Chase has some credit cards that offer phone insurance of some kind.
