Xfinity is charging me 115 for less speed in South Fla. I called them and they said they can do no better. Time to leave those creeps.

I was with AT&T for the 1gig plan at $80/month (also took advantage of the $300+ gift card offer) and I was very impressed. Very rarely was there downtime and if so it was never longer than 10 minutes. Was getting 1000+mbps up and down. Spectrum came to my door offering the same speeds at half the cost. Wind up swapping over but of course its cheaper because the upload speeds are never more than 20mbps. Fine for me for only $40 a month. But when I move again, I will be going back to AT&T.

AT&T leaked my SSN on the dark web.
It may have been because I got an AT&T Universal credit card years ago.

ATT recently brought fiber to my area and while I'm tempted to jump on it, the 1Gb for $60 from spectrum is sort of holding onto me....since i'm WFH though the inconsistency in spectrum service (have had days where it drops for the entire area so I can't even run to the library or anywhere else with a public port)....Annoying since my Spectrum did just get hiked from $20 to $30 to $50 and now $60 due to the government plan dropping and slowly losing discounts with Spectrum....

At my residence I have the choice of either ATT Fiber or Cox fiber. Cox has a 1.2TB data cap and charges an EXTRA $50/mo. to get unlimited data. This makes the total monthly cost around $100+ on promotion. It was a no brainer to change to ATT Fiber Gig for $80 with HBO Max included (this promotion has since been dropped). That being said, the ATT customer service is quite bad but once you get past that the product is rock solid.
Take screenshots of the rebates you are applying for during the order process. There are no confirmation emails that get sent out for the rewards and no tracking website so you are at their mercy. In case you end up facing issues, you can use the screenshots to show what you were eligible for.

I signed up about 2 weeks ago. The rewards email won't be sent for 6 weeks. No idea about the JBL speaker timing. I'm currently paying $55/month with paperless billing and discounts at 1gbps.
Go to rewardcenter.att.com and throw your zip code and account number in there. The first of mine and the jbl speaker showed up on there about a week in but still waiting on the last two to redeem. Gift card arrived in the mail about a week later, still waiting on speaker.

The rep offered me $300 as well but when I receive my activation email it was only for $200! F those people wasting my time having to call them to revolve this and I have been on hold for over 45 mins

Would love to get fiber in my area… apparently Spectrum has a stronghold and no other player is planning to come here. Oh AT&T still offers 50mbps DSL 😀😀😀
Congrats on having at least having a 50 meg option! It's all about perspective...

About 10 years ago my office had AT&T 6 meg DSL (the only alternative was dialup). They kept raising the price too, going from $30/mo to $45/mo in less than a year for the same lousy 6 megs "because they want people to join their fiber network," which wasn't even available to our address.

We ended up paying another ISP $2k to lay the infrastructure to our building, which was paid for in less than a year with the money we saved by switching our land line phone services from AT&T to a VoIP (new voice + internet services were less than half the $300/mo AT&T was charging us).

AT&T has been trying to get aggressive the last few years, trying to sell us on our own private line but they don't have any hard line connections to our address yet (just the "Air" service available to us).

I signed up with this deal last month and got my 2 cards already. Still waiting on the JBL speaker.

Also getting the $75 chase cash back (expired). So total I will have $300 cb

Bill is just $55 for 1 gig speeds

Maybe should have posted the deal last month haha.

you will never get these cards. I was supposed to get 300$ rewards but I just got some amazon echo and some other stuff which I don't need.

I switched to AT&T about a week and a half ago and they offered $350 in gift cards + the jbl speaker (I'm on the 500mbps plan, if I did the 1gig plan, it would have been $400 in gift cards + the speaker)…so far so good, no complaints. They supply the router so no extra cost there and they are way cheaper and more reliable than cox (the other option around me). I called customer service once since I used to have DIRECTV my account wouldn't link to the app and the first and only person I spoke to was very knowledgeable and seemed to be from the US.

It takes about 4-6 weeks to get the gift cards, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do this (I didn't read the terms and conditions though so not sure if they say anything about this scenario)
