I have a similar digital version of this that I bought from Costco a couple of years ago.
I've been really happy with it.

Like some said, you may have to play with the temps a little bit until you get used to it, but once you do it's great!
The upshot of Costco is that air fryers are not excluded from the satisfaction guarantee. We bought our first air fryer there--Gourmia 6 qt--and we liked it, used it near daily. Unfortunately the fan motor developed a worsening vibration at a little over a year, we were able to return it. The replacement developed the same issue at about 9 months, so we did the return dance one more time--they had them in stock and I didn't have time to research an alternative at that time. When this one gives up the ghost we'll return once more and then try another manufacturer.

I had this or a similar model from Costco from 6 years ago. It is convenient and functions wonderfully for air frying and oven baking. I make amazing chicken drumsticks very easily with this machine. I set the temperature 50 degrees lower because this thing gets hotter than needed. I love this machine and it's saved me a ton of money from not earing out. Frozen French fries, frozen pizza, baked salmon. Chicken tenders. It's a life saver for home cooks with kids. It's also durable. I let mine go for 6 years and now I've just gotten this deal to replace it. Same oven, but brand new. It's a thing of beauty.

To the scientifically informed buyers in this thread, here's a more technical breakdown of the materials in this product and their behavior under high-temperature conditions:

1. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE):
PTFE is widely used as a non-stick coating in cookware due to its high thermal stability and chemical inertness. It can tolerate temperatures up to 500°F (260°C) without significant degradation. However, once exposed to temperatures exceeding 662°F (350°C), it begins to thermally decompose, releasing fluorocarbon gases like perfluoroisobutylene (PFIB) and other fumes that are known to cause polymer fume fever in humans and are toxic to birds. This phenomenon typically occurs in situations where cookware is left unattended on high heat or used inappropriately.

2. Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP):
FEP, another fluoropolymer, is similar in structure to PTFE but has slightly different chemical properties, such as increased flexibility and transparency. FEP can withstand continuous exposure to temperatures around 400°F to 450°F (204°C to 232°C) before significant thermal degradation. Like PTFE, FEP can release toxic fumes when overheated beyond its stable temperature range, and exposure to these fumes should be avoided for safety reasons.

3. Perfluoroalkoxy Alkane Polymer (PFA):
PFA is used in environments where high chemical resistance and heat tolerance are required. It is stable up to 500°F (260°C), similar to PTFE. If exposed to temperatures higher than this, it can begin to degrade, producing toxic perfluorinated byproducts that are harmful if inhaled in large quantities. PFA is often used in high-performance lab equipment and industrial applications, but its use in consumer appliances follows similar thermal thresholds as other fluoropolymers.

4. Manganese and Manganese Compounds:
Manganese is an essential trace mineral, but it becomes a health hazard at high exposure levels, particularly via inhalation of airborne particles or fumes, which can happen in industrial processes. Manganese and its compounds are relatively stable in cooking appliances but begin to volatilize at extreme temperatures around 2330°F (1277°C). In this air fryer toaster oven, exposure to manganese compounds under normal cooking conditions is minimal and not a significant health concern unless subjected to abnormal or extreme heating conditions.

5. Iron:
Iron, a fundamental element in many kitchen appliances, is relatively inert at standard cooking temperatures. In air fryers and ovens, it can withstand temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C) before oxidation or degradation becomes a concern. The potential for harmful exposure in consumer products is minimal under normal use.

6. Nickel and Nickel Compounds:
Nickel is commonly found in stainless steel alloys and has excellent corrosion resistance. While it remains stable in everyday cooking, at extreme temperatures (around 2000°F (1093°C) and above), nickel can release fumes that may cause respiratory issues in industrial settings. For individuals with nickel allergies, prolonged skin contact with nickel-containing products can cause dermatitis, though this is not typically a concern with the surfaces used in appliances like this one.

7. Phosphorus:
Phosphorus in its elemental form is highly reactive, especially white phosphorus, which ignites spontaneously in air at temperatures above 111°F (44°C). However, in compounds or bound forms (as likely in this appliance), it is far more stable. Phosphorus used in these products is unlikely to pose a risk unless subjected to extreme thermal or chemical conditions that would not be encountered during regular use of the appliance.

Key Temperature Thresholds:

Extreme heat in the context of fluoropolymers like PTFE, FEP, and PFA refers to temperatures exceeding 500°F (260°C), where thermal decomposition occurs and toxic fumes may be released.

For metals like manganese, iron, and nickel, extreme temperatures are typically considered above 1800°F (982°C), where oxidation, volatilization, or degradation may occur, although these conditions are far beyond those encountered in normal household use.

In conclusion, while these materials are carefully chosen for their heat resistance and stability in consumer products, they can become hazardous when exposed to conditions well beyond normal cooking temperatures. The safety of the product depends on following the manufacturer's guidelines for proper use to avoid unnecessary exposure to degradation byproducts.

Given that the Cuisinart CTOA-122 Air Fryer Toaster Oven can reach a maximum temperature of 450°F (230°C), it is advisable to avoid running the appliance at its highest setting for prolonged periods. To ensure safety and longevity of materials like PTFE and FEP, keeping the temperature at or below 400°F (204°C) is recommended for regular use. This extra precaution will help reduce the risk of material degradation and the potential release of harmful fumes, especially in air frying or broiling modes, which tend to push the appliance to its thermal limits.

I purchased it 2 years ago and love it. It is an oven with a fan. The trays are metal, so less plastic junk on your foods. The grease tray at the bottom can be removed. Read the review, cook your food at 20-50 degree less than your intended temperature to avoid burning.
I second this. I had a similar model and it would run hot and I always had to adjust the temperature down. Another issue is with cleaning the exterior. After a few years, the markings for the dials wear off. Try to not rub those areas too much.

I have the TOA-70 model. Don't know what's the difference. I like it but I hate the manual egg timer because the first mark is 10 minutes and while I can probably guess 5 minutes by eyeballing halfway or so I can never figure out how to do 1 or 2 minutes. It's a guessing game. So I end standing there just to make sure I don't go over the time. Either that or walk away and hope it doesn't over cook / air fry / heat

I have never use the toaster option lol. I use mainly bake or air fry; for slice bread I just use bake and it's just as good, too lazy to set the mode to toast and then go to the last knob to set the darkness lol
I just use the "Toast" setting at a lower temp I need so I can use the far right timer for shorter times.

I have the digital version and would prefer this analog one - the digital wheel has gotten finicky over the years probably due thermal damage, since it sits on top. Careful with the door too, it doesn't take much to break the little arm that keeps it shut. Other than that, I'm very happy with the performance. Having tried other air fryers, the Cuisinart toaster design works the best.

This is true. I got this about 2 years ago also. My rule is to drop the temperature 50 degrees and cut the cook time in half.

Appears all controls are manual. And, how many appliances get disposed of when those manual timers gum up and stop working?
I don't know why people are down voting this. The manual knobs are located above the door where steam mixed with oils vent. Over time oils will build up. I have a Panasonic with digital controls off to the side of the door and it's been going strong for over a decade. For the $40 I paid on clearance, it was a great deal.

Friends don't let friends buy a Cuisinart toaster oven. I know others here say they've had good experiences with this one, but I often wonder how many are shills.

I own way too many small kitchen appliances. They're my kryptonite. I research each purchase extensively and keep them for as long as I can.

This oven is easily the worst kitchen appliance I have ever owned. It's unreliable, hard to use, and difficult to keep clean. I shudder to think how much food was wasted and how much frustration was created by it.

Unless you want to stand in front of your oven throughout the cooking process to prevent it from burning your food, get ready for burned chicken, blackened pizza crusts, and inedible toast. There's nothing even remotely precise about the temperature, and just reducing what you dial in isn't a reliable solution to the problem as there's no predictability to the imprecision.

In addition, the controls are so non-intuitive that, even after several years with it, multiple people in my household routinely though they were toasting a bagel, only to discover - generally on the verge of being late to work/school - that the oven's been doing nothing for the past 20 minutes.

The day Ifinally gave up and gave it away was the happiest one of my adult cooking life. AVOID THIS

These things are awesome and I feel not enough people know about them or just ignore them. It can legit replace needing your oven for a ton of stuff.

any idea if this is strictly 100-110v or autovolt?
Heating elements only work at 110V, not 240V.
