Also, wanted to add you can check pricing and inventory on the Costco app. Should look something like this from this thread. https://slickdeals.net/f/17709738

If I'm not mistaken like the last clearance price its reflected across all states. I'm seeing some stores showing $899.97 still on the app inventory checker, but on Same Day Delivery or the Costco website it isn't showing any stock for those stores which leads me to believe no stock left or a display is showing.

Great price. Not sure if the price will drop further or not.
Last year C3 was ~$400 via Same-Day Delivery

Be careful about what update you install! I'm on 03.11.05, but I read people with a newer update say the screen is dimmer. I watched an Rtings video on youtube where they're doing a 100 tv test runing them for like 16 hours a day in intervals and in one of their updates they said, one of the manufactures, I think it was Samsung, maybe Sony, or LG, put out an update, that will with the new software limit the actual brightness of the TV, this helps the TV set last longer, but is at the cost of the brightness, and they thought it was pretty shady that it's not mentioned in the update, and that it should be up the the user to limit brightness not the manufacture to force it. Apparently this is rather comon practice, put the TV out there get it's Lumens and Nits messured, then after it's been on the market for 6 months or so, push an update that dims it by 10% so it will last longer. It will no longer be as bright, and all updates going forward have that baked into the update. Honestly I'd love to see a class action lawsuit against several companies for no longer selling offering the customer the same product as what they bought. This has happened with server based games, and there's a potential EU law that might affect future game development, but there are a lot of companies out there doing a bait and switch one way or another. Same thing with read/write speeds on camera cards and SSDs. They push out a 512GB card that has a write speed of lets say 520 mb/s and is tested to hit around that. But when bought a year or 2 after it's been on the market that card is now only writing at 480 mb/s, less people doing tests on yesterday's news, so manufactures think they can get away having old reviews so prevalent on the internet and SEO that will sell a product that is no longer being scrutinized by the tech influences on youtube and blog writers, that they can now put out a product under the same brand and label at the same price, and barely anyone will check if it actually holds up to it's claims. Just do some deep research with good data before updating your TV.
Thank you for the heads up on this! I just set the auto-update to off. That's definitely a shady practice and I agree there should be consequences for such things. I'll be sure to check forums and such before updating, going forward.

Sorry to see this display didn't work out for you. It makes sense that would be a deal-breaker for color grading and Photoshop work. I hear the G4 doesn't have the green tinting issue. You might just want to wait until they dramatic drop in price though I doubt they'd ever get down to less than $700 and no 5yr warranty. 😕 This deal is uniquely good imo, if your use-case isn't as bothered by its flaws. The immersion is insane though now I want a faster video card. 😅

Got it at the Littleton, CO location. There's only one left in box and one on display. This includes the Allstate insurance that it mentions online. I'm surprised it includes the insurance considering online it said it was for online only. Very excited because I originally bought the Best Buy lower version model this morning and canceled it to buy this one.

TLDR: Off angle Viewing creates bad green tint. Not ideal as a monitor for color critical work or viewing.

Thank you so much for your write up! I was about to join Costco just to "upgrade" to this OLED monitor for better color. Now I know I would have been wasting my time and money and not improving my office setup. Really appreciate your time spent sharing your findings.

Union gap, Wa still had 4 of them at $699.97 as of an hour ago. I bought two on Saturday and it doesn't appear they've sold once since.

If I don't find any close to me in Boston I might have to go this because some of these prices are too low to pass up

I ended up doing the same, to a friend's address close to a costco that has in stock.

If you are okay with neck pain and eye strain, go for it
any screen requires face movement to see edge to edge it's not recommended

Any idea if insta cart $100 gft cards staking work on this order

Sure, if you have neck pain and eye strain problems? Been using a C1 48" since that came out as PC monitor for work and gaming. I work from home 4 days a week in IT and it's fabulous as a productivity monitor. It's incredibly immersive for a gaming monitor too. The edges are still in peripheral vision and not a problem at all for me. Unless you're the 0.001% of gamers that are actually "pro", it's not a big deal.

I am probably going to return my unopened C4 to chantilly va costco. All this talk about green tint, is worrisome. I am certain it will be addressed with the C5.

My LG CX still has 2 more years of warranty. I will just ride out the CX and see if a deal on the next model appears.
There's been some kind of nitpick with these LG TV's every single generation. I have a red glow when display is white screen on my C1 48". I forgot about it a week after I got it. And I use mine for 40-50hr work weeks and for gaming. Before that, there was the grey uniformity issue. I have a C8 (older, 2018 I think) that had that issue. I obsessed over it and exchanged it at Costco 3 times before just saying f it and kept the last one. Then I forgot it was even a thing.

This is such a good deal I highly doubt it's worth paying more to 'maybe' avoid some nitpicky issue. Theres always going to be something. So get it, or wait forever for the unicorn model.

Thanks for your input. But, I intend on using it as a monitor, so the edges would be at an off angle. Shifting colors would annoy me.

My CX has been good enough and doesnt have any crazy issues, Hopefully I can find a similar deal or better in the next 2 years.

If we order on instacart do we look for a card or email. For extra warranty ?

Neither, there are two ways you can do it. one, go to Allstate Costco website, and set up an account, if you don't have one yet. then follow the instruction and add it there. or if the Instacart driver did it correctly, he/she should have used your membership number to make the purchase. so after 24 hours, you should see a digital receipt of the original purchase on your app. you can then use the information and go to allstate website and add it. i did it using the first method so i know you don't need to wait until the costco receipt is added to your app.
