For the majority of people, ChromeOS is perfectly fine. I wish all my in-laws and grandparents would just use ChromeOS so they would stop calling my to fix their Windows problems.

We have a Duet 5 with 4GB of Ram and a 13" screen and two HPs that is similar to the Duet 3 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1 [amazon.com]). The HP has 8GB of RAM and there is noticeable difference in speed when running apps, office PWAs, etc. Well worth an extra $50 or so. We bought the HPs refurbished and they also come with a magnetic, rechargeable stylus.
thanks for the heads up, just pulled the trigger on the HP on eBay for around $139:

The page has contradictory info so I chatted with sales and they said it's included. I still don't trust them but now at least I have the chat saved.
Cool - thanks for sharing

doesn't seem like too big of a deal considering it has an SD card slot

Curious- how did the refurb from eBay arrive? I just got burned by an Acer refurb directly from Acer with no wifi. I'm thinking about this one instead.

it arrived in nearly mint condition. there were 2 issues on the HP though:
1. the pen does not charge, which seems to be a common issue with them? I got a partial refund from the seller due to the pen not charging. i haven't purchased a replacement yet, but if the pen functionality is important to you, this might not be the one to get.
2. the housing where the pen magnetically connects to the tablet is slightly bent away from the the screen? i believe this is due to how strong the magnets are, and i did find a post on Reddit that also mentions this. not a major issue at all, but i figured i'd let you know.

Thanks for the reply. The pen is a bonus but not really necessary. This is going to be used by a high school student. Thanks!
