This product is specifically for "northern" lawns, which is hardiness zones 1 through 5, possibly some zone 6. Basically, if you cut the US in half starting at the Virginia/North Carolina border and go straight across to the middle of California, everything above the line is "northern" lawns and everything below it is "southern". It's less about the type of grass you have and more about the type of grasses your region can support.
These types of products will have the USDA plant hardiness zones printed on their labels to help you decide—it's one of the last pictures on the Walmart listing.
I bought some of the patch and repair version of this on a deep discount ($3) earlier this year and this is the mix from my label for a "northern" lawn (all seed has an 85-90% germination rate—all sourced from Washington and Oregon):
1.82% Wendy Jean Creeping Red Fescue
1.72% vision perennial ryegrass
1.30% alloy perennial ryegrass
1.12% Fenway creeping red fescue
0.67% jump start Kentucky blue grass
0.67% Starr Kentucky blue grass
85.60% mulch
3.90% fertilizer
3.00% polysaccharides
0.15% inert from seed
0.04% other crop seed
0.01% weed seed (no noxious types)
That said, this worked fantastically to quickly fill in an area in front of my house where I'd removed several overgrown yews. Removed the bushes and their roots, tilled up the soil, sprinkled a jug of the seed/mulch on top, wetted it, turned it with a rake, the wetted again. Followed directions about watering when it looked dry and the area had pretty well filled in within 2 weeks.
