You know a product is overpriced when at 40% off it's still way too expensive for what it is, and how much you get.
$1.37/ounce - gtfo. Actual human grade Filet mignon is cheaper.

I'm starting to think people don't know what "freeze dried" means in terms of price per ounce

Petco [petco.com] sells the 8-Oz for $22.94, and Chewy [chewy.com] sells it for the same price.
Petco [petco.com] also sells the 18-Oz (Lamb) for $31.49, and Chewy [chewy.com] sells it for $41.99.

If she'd quit being such a jerk, I'd consider getting this to add to the kibble I feed the mother-in-law.

Nice product that my GSD loves; however, it is INSANELY expensive when purchased locally. Now we're buying the salmon and liver offerings from Costco...no complaints from the dog.

can i ask why not just add some meat from your own dinner or cook up some extra chicken for doggo for much less money? i wish i could pay 20 bucks per pound for my proteins.... i could shop at wholefoods. this seems the opposite of slick... sure it is freeze dried. but even at half the price it is still pretty insane for meat your gonna feed to your dog.

Generally speaking, freeze drying is a 5:1 ratio, so 5lbs of chicken will yield about 1lb of freeze dried. So the pricing isn't far off from a grocery store for fresh chicken, really. And these are often scrap pieces from the process of parting out chickens.

Just FYI - if you click on the image in OPs post - it takes you to cat food. Use the other links from OP to get to the dog food. Guy at the pet store told me cat food has a few different ingredients and to make sure I don't give it to my puppy.

My dog loves this; we're doing reactivity training and the trainer had these. Super expensive at petco but I am desperate to get what the dog loves to help with training at the moment.

We use this brands "dinner dust" for our dog. It is very good quality and the resealable package is easy to use.
