I picked up at home Depot because of the leaking reviews.
On primos website there is a potential to pay return shipping, plus a restocking fee. And their return starts from the date of shipment, not when you receive.
The extra ten dollars is worth it for me to get it at home Depot.

Never had one of these. Does it come with the bottle/jug or do you have to get them from somewhere?
You get them from the grocery store or a delivery company. There may be a way to refill bottles or something, but it's relatively inexpensive to just get them "new".

Home depot and gro ery stores. About $13 the first time and $7ish when u trade in ur empty one. I refill at a water station kiosk...has a 12 step filtration system and its $1.75 to fill it up. Smaller filtration systems at grocery stores have like a $1.25 fill up, but it's not a 12 step.

Dont forget to clean both the bottles every couple of refills.....and ur water unit every 3 months. Even if the water looks clean, the inside can hold mold. I was getting severe cystic acne once, took meds and it only cleared up after cleaning the inside. I used a water tester and the number was low, but there was black mold and bugs from a replacement unit the water delivery company had given me.

I have a primo now, and a clear film will form after a couple months that's why use clean it thoroughly with a hot water flush and then a water and vinegar flush, then water flushes.

Good point. Additionally, Home Depot credit card members get a 12-months return window.

I have only used bottom loading ones, does top loading one require special water bottle, how do you load it up there without spilling water?

This is pretty good for a Dog, but I would not recommend this for a Cat. Cats naturally avoid standing water of any quality, and will only drink it when they have to.
On the other hand, they are naturally drawn to running water and will drink it much more readily.
Since Cats, and especially Male cats, are prone to urinary issues, you'd be much better off with a Cat fountain.
About getting cats to drink more water, i have been buying these treats which are about 90% water, Cats love them: INABA Churu Lickable Creamy Purée Cat Treats

That's not a universal truth. You have to know your cat. I had two that preferred running water from fountains and one that did not take to any fountain or running water and prefers standing water - including the toilet.

Great water bowl location. Now I can kick water across my kitchen floor everytime I go to get a glass of water.

I'm in Scranton PA. We have a spring water company that delivers 5 gallon jugs. I've seen Wegmans sell their water in big jugs too. I always used to see water dispensers at local grocery stores but I think the ones near me stopped doing it for whatever reason.

Has to be sealed. Basically long plastic nail will pierce it when you put it down after five seconds from gravity. Fills up reservoir.

how is this healthy when the water is heated in a non bpa free heated tank? Or non BPA parts. I see a california prop warning.
Also is primo water free of PFAS ?

Do you know how long the warranty is at home depot?
Quote from CyanMint1354 :
Home Depot said 90 days on the product page. The primo site says 30 days from date of shipment.
On the Home Depot website for the Primo Deluxe Top Loading Water Dispenser, when you click on warranty, shows that the unit has a 1 year warranty, not 90 days.

We actually refill our bottles. We have a mountain spring a little ways from our home. We have 7 of the blue jugs that we got from Home Depot and use these reusable caps, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B55NTJVM

What state do you live in, here in California it's $4-$5 to fill a bottle now.

Primo site says you get $15 credit, you can probably get a free bottle.
