Dark Descent is so good for 19.99, and if you already have Fireteam Elite like a lot of people who dip into Humble do, it's 17.99. Excellent, underrated game that really nails the atmosphere of Aliens (but with a better story). Conveys a sense of tension and horror in a way I didn't expect an isometric game to be capable of.

I wanna buy Dark Descent but Ive read too many reviews citing how many bugs can ruin the experience. I think I'll wait til it's sub $10 for a game that apparently has zero tech support with no fixes likely coming

I would hope by now they've fixed the bugs. Maybe not though. Sounds like a fun enjoyable game otherwise.

This is a pretty bug free game. Some players might have problems with the game mechanics. You really can't blast your way through the missions. You need to do your best to not be detected by the xenos or it will cause your team's stress to surpass manageable levels which in turn inflicts negative effects on the soldiers. Even if they survive, it can even knock the soldier out of commission for a mission or two.

Also your team acts as a single unit so you can't really send out your scout ahead with their sniper rifle. It can get cumbersome when the team doesn't do something that you intended it to do. Other than that, it's a terrific game. Lots of tension and faithfully creates the feeling of the second movie.

I had a great time playing dark descent. Well worth $20. In terms of bugs, I was playing using crossover on a Mac, still played very well.

For $7.50 Aliens Fireteam elite is fun. I know people are not a huge fan of this one but as an Aliens fan, I got my moneys worth even when I bought it for my PS5. If you are a fan of the Aliens movie, this is for you. If not, there are surely better FPS options out there.

No, check protondb to confirm, but I believe it is platinum on there, every review I remember reading said it worked great without any major tweaks (45fps if I remember correctly)

Yeah Dark Descent is intense, you can pause the action but it doesn't help that much, great story too. I'm hoping for a sequel. The game mechanic is amazing, it just needs more map variety in a sequel.

What reminds me of the movie is how your Marines go from kicking ass to getting their asses kicked, and back again. Great play balance, but it's not an easy game. My 10 year old couldn't get too far in it.
