I added "cash" to my Uber Eats account and it showed up as "UBER CASH" and didn't trigger either Uber/Uber Eats offers. I did call and they adjusted the points for me, but won't be doing card reload in the future for these offers.

Then I'm going to try changing the payment method a previous ride in the Uber mobile application to PayPal and hope that works.

For anyone thinking this is a brilliant idea-- I did too, and just tried it out. Looks like Uber still processes the ride and tip separately, and right now it looks like the tip was processed first. So I bet the discount will only apply to the tip. It might be a race condition and others may get lucky the other direction, but it is not guaranteed.

I got my points for the ride right away but I wish this worked for gift cards or reloading cash.

Tried to buy a Doordash giftcard on the app and checked out through Paypal after saving the offer. I still haven't seen the cashback and it says shows up in the saved rather than redeemed.. What am I doing wrong?
