I don't want to see what USPS does to a box of pop tarts. 48ct is $9.98 @ Sam's Club - sometimes they run $2 off.

I don't want to see what USPS does to a box of pop tarts. 48ct is $9.98 @ Sam's Club - sometimes they run $2 off.

The boxes these come in are pretty durable. 1 out of every 3 orders USPS damages my 12 pack of energy drinks to the point I don't get them and get a refund. Annoying considering they box my paint brush in a box inside a box both full of bubble bags🙄

Used to love them but that's a lot of any one flavor. Glad to see they're looking out for our health by making them smaller yet keeping the box basically the same size.

Could get 36 (3 packs of 12) for $7 at Colorado King Soopers (Kroger) this week. LIke just about every Amazon grocery deal that makes FP here, it's not really a deal unless you live in a super expensive grocery area like Hawaii.

This is my major issue with ordering good deals with S&S. By the time it ships, some items are OOS and some gets damaged and they will just refund since the item is not in stock.

Kroger has the 12ct boxes for sale for $2 off each box when you buy 3 or more. In my area, those are 4.29 before the discount. That would make it 6.87 for 3 total.

Pros:

* No shipping damage
* No need to remember to cancel subscribe and save
* Way more flavors available

Cons:

* 27 cents more expensive.
* Have to drive to store

This is an appropriate concern. Last time I got a similar order, one box had all damaged and crumbled tarts. Even then, I've felt Amazon deals are often stale on arrival. You pretty much get a refund and can throw away or donate the food, but it's just something I've been noticing.

with shrinkflation and mega corps skimping on every aspect .. these are not worth buying anymore.
super overly sweet fake filling
super thin pastry
and a smidge of frosting
sad they took a nice treat and turned it to garbage

I'd be willing to bet these are near the end of their shelf life.. they're so packed full of preservatives they'll probably be good for another 6 months at least, but it irks me.
