PSA: crew 2 cannot be streamed via amazon luna. Motorfest does. Too bad, bc this would be a nice pickup for streaming on luna

I heard a/b this game being on sale for $1 yesterday from a different website. Not sure if anyone caught wind of Ubisoft trying to appease gamers by offering an offline mode in order to avoid customer pushback like The Crew 1 or to avoid the attention and ire of the FTC:

I would've just bought 1 or the other, not both since they will still require UbiConnect in order to play which will then populate the game as part of your UbiConnect game library, ultimately rendering either the Steam/Epic platform useless since you can bypass them by running the game independently from UbiConnect.. However, I could see you making a case for buying both the XBox version alongside one of them from either PC digital storefront. That's if you own an XBox, but if not then the PS4 version would suffice in place of it.

I bought this for Xbox Series X and the game won't even start. I see a menu, but when I try to start the game it just crashes.

So much salt... skip it, but your $1 ain't gonna make or break a billion dollar company... insted support consumer rights groups and campaigns advocating for such companies to stop killing games, add offline modes, offer longer support etc.
