Isn't this just the advance collection with "haunted Castle" added?

Thank you!! I've been stalking this since it released and immediately sold out. I literally checked it at work today and it was still sold out.

Dawn of Sorrow was soooo good. Looking forward to finishing the others.

For what it's worth, the Metacritic scores:
Dawn of Sorrow: 89
Portrait of Ruin: 85
Order of Ecclesia: 85

Haunted Castle is a throw-in that you're better off not touching. Edit: At least, the actual arcade version was. Apparently, this is a 're-imagining'... not going to hold my breath, though.

I played it for the first time a couple months back, it is mind boggling a game that polished was a GBA release.

Dawn is the DS game, Aria is the GBA game (but yes, you speak the truth).

Hah, I just hemmed and hawed over this for the week or two it's been out, thinking surely it won't go on sale for months, so I just bought it a few days ago. WELL worth it at either price!

How do they sell out of a digital copy? Genuinely curious.

Well they aren't just supplied an unlimited number of codes. Which there are probably good reasons for like it limiting the amount of damage done if something unexpected or unforeseeable occurs like a bad batch of codes, theft, or just a price error. I've certainly seen it quite a few times in the case of the latter.

Both collections of which to acquire the games for those systems at this point is likely prohibitively expensive..... so I for one am glad they decided to re-release these on current platforms. It's a much more tolerable pill to swallow, even for a physical version from like Limited Run Games.

I almost exclusively get these retro compilations on the Switch, mostly for portability and the cartridge format.

But with the release of the Windows handhelds, I'm going to start going with PC. The games are often cheaper and today's consoles simply cannot compete with the backwards compatibility of PCs.

Sony, Nintendo and Xbox are all competing with each other, but they might just end up losing altogether to the PC and the handhelds... Especially if they don't get their act together and think of consumers first when it comes to price, compatibility, and freedom of use.
