They are spiteful and don't want to pay the company that owns the patent so they turned off the feature. Remember if it doesn't make money for them, they don't want it.

do you need to do anything special for the Plus membership 10% boost or where is that shown on the site? I just got the membership but seeing same normal values.

Edit: Nevermind, I loaded in icognito and see boost for series 9 but doesn't seem to apply to old models.

Wether you purchased a 2-yr AppleCare+ plan up front or chose to subscribe to monthly payments, all you have to do, for any Apple device you are selling or trading in, is give AppleCare+ Support a phone call and tell them you wish to cancel your plan and request a pro-rated refund. You can cancel AppleCare+ monthly plans from your device, but that will just cancel it at the end of the paid-up period, usually a month. But just make sure to request your pro-rated refund.

I buy the 2 or 3yr plans upfront, as they usually save a decent amount of money compared to the monthly payments, and routinely get the remainders refunded. Your credit will go back to your payment method of choice, including your Apple Balance if you used that or an Apple gift card.

Definitely don't forget to do this AFTER you get your trade-in payout as you deserve to get your unused funds back, but wait until AFTER the trade in is completed successfully in case something stupid were to happen. Cheers!

Apple uses their tech or Apple uses tech similar to what they patented? Big difference there. Could be bad implementation which makes it inaccurate.

It says "Your estimated trade-in value is valid for 15 days". If I place the order today but they don't ship the trade in box until after I receive the new one, I'll lose my trade in value?

You can get in touch with Apple and cancel the existing Applecare plan on the watch you're trading in. You'll get a prorated refund based on how many months are left.

No. It means you have 15 days to complete the purchase in order to receive the estimated amount for your trade-in. If you wait 16 days to complete the purchase, the estimated amount might change. If you complete the purchase within 15 days, which will initiate the trade-in, you're good to go. You then have a longer period of time to actually get the device shipped to them.
