The individual circuit view has really helped me find some major drains in my house that I don't think inwould have found with a whole house solution. Something like a dieing refrigerator compressor suddenly using twice as much energy wouldn't show up on a whole house but is noticeable on single circuit tracking.

I know nothing about this company, but if their products are only available at Aliexpress, Amazon, and eBay, that's probably not a good sign.

Also, the Vue can be flashed with esphome which is nice if you're in that or the HA ecosystem.

I've installed the Vue 2 and Vue 3, use them both with Home Assistant. I don't need access to real time data so I don't feel like flashing to ESP Home. The Vue 2 has these same audio style jacks and they can be problematic because I had a few CTs that didn't report until I pressed on them really hard and they come loose on their own. The Vue 3 is a bit more polished with better connectors. On another property I have the Emporia Vue Utility connect which only monitors overall consumption but doesn't need to be installed n the breaker panel. It reads the data from the smartmeter via Zigbee and that also works well.

For those asking what these are good for, I have found on a number of occasions my pool pump connected via iAqualink was either on too long or wasn't coming on at all. I found some vanity lights with excessive power usage and replaced the fixtures. It's useful to see my solar power production vs my power consumption. The application is cumbersome but you can get the data you need if you spend time figuring it out. But once it's connected to Home Assistant it's in a very effective and easy to read format.

So this being more like a Vue 2 and with less of a footprint in the HA community I would pass and get the Vue 3 instead, if not then get the Vue 2.

CTs are non-contact, but to power the system (and for voltage sensing) you're still hooking directly to a breaker with wires. The box also lives inside your breaker box. UL tested is definitely preferred.
Fair point, but I'd hope anyone installing one of these already has intumescent in their box. If not, they should probably get on that.

Then it's just a case of the worst that can happen is the meter craps out on you.

Not sure a UL rating helps much with that.

Not a good sign? I'm not defending this company or the product, but how else is any company supposed to launch a product in 2024 to a global audience in 2024? That's a very narrow statement to make.

I'm also suggesting the Emporia Vue. I've had one that I installed for over three years. It's great. It's proven and trusted. I'd rather not support a gray market copycat.

For those saying it's just CT clamps, you do indeed install these to both legs of your panel through a double pole breaker. Just me but I'd be hesitant of closing it up inside a recessed panel.

I think for the $30 difference I would still go with Emporia Vue (or similar).
100%. Running Vue3 in Home Assistant flashed with ESPHome. Works splendidly and keeps data local.

I have Sense home monitor from last 5 year. Very happy with it. Also works with solar panels.

I have a Meross garage door opener in my house and it works great. It says sold by: Meross Ecommerce so I don't really know if that means it's the same company or something else.
I did too, before i switched to a myq equipped garage door opener.

Thr Meross unit was great! No huge bells and whistles. But it just works... (i'd say even more reliably than MyQ, had it for 3-4 yrs before the switch!)

One quick question... what to do if my circuit board has more than 16 breakers? Could buying 2 of these energy monitors help? Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't consider this unless it has True-RMS (power factoring) sensors. I had the early Vue without True-RMS and it was nearly pointless in my house. Wildly inaccurate. Vue 2 and 3 are true-RMS.
you have your language confused. measuring power factor is a completely different measurement than truerma. there is no need for true RMS, but there is value in power factor.

true RMS is the measurement quality on a single waveform.

power factor requires current and voltage measurement along with phase information

It's non-contact.

It doesn't need to be UL listed any more than your TV remote does.

Besides, UL listing isn't a trustworthy system to begin with. There's tons of listings that simply piggyback ones that are already filed and the amount of bribery that goes on is rampant.
bribery of UL? that's quite a conspiracy. please provide your evidence of that.

BTW these are not fully non contact. you need a direct connection for power and voltage measurement.

Probably? You can assume that all Chinese company are owned by CCP and they have to do the biddings of their master.

If you have the standard privacy beliefs of most people that "I have nothing to hide", then I would not worry about China. If you don't have that attitude, then something like the vue offers the ability to flash with different firmware to keep things local. Lastly, if you are only worried about China, but not US tech firms, gtfoh.
