check you local yamaha dealer before buying. They can likely beat the price on all ebikes. i purchased the morrow 7 new for 500 less the online.

Purchased second one today. price went up slightly below is my invoice. price was 2247 (morrow 7) out the door.

For those thinking about getting an ebike but worried about not getting enough exercise, remember this: sitting on the couch thinking about riding your analog bike burns no calories. Riding your ebike because it's fun and you don't have to stress about a hateful hill climb or running out of energy far from home burns a lot more calories!

I have a 11sp Ultegra DI groupset wirh 4iiii dura ace power meter lying around, does it make sense to put them on the Wabash ?

Road bike not practical in my neighbourhood because of the terrain and slopes, so I may give up on road biking
I won't put those since it's ebike. You already have motor assistance and you don't race with this bike. I don know what will really help….. I'm questioning myself that knowing exact power or keeping same power and cadence mean something with ebike?????

Thanks. I've got a 29'er MTB and I have quite a bit of play in the size of tire I put on that bike. Interestingly, there aren't that many road slick tire options (on Amazon, at least) for the 45c rim size. I found some slicks for my 29'er that I used in a fundraising bike ride last year, and was hoping to find a similar set for this one. But so far, the majority of the non-stubby gravel bike tires are not road slicks, they are more like cross country tires. Might just need to go to my local bike shop after I pickup my Wabash and have them help me out. Not sure the Yamaha dealership is going to be of much help here.
Nice. my MTB is also a 29er MTB with the 700x50C. You are right, not many 700x45c slick-ish options. I would recommend searching for 700x42C. I added some more options for you below. Researched again earlier this morning because it drives me crazy to not find options when my current tires wear out.

Teravail Rampart Tire - 700 x 42c - $78
Kenda 4Titude Pro Tire TLR, 700 X 42c - $65
Continental Contact Speed Tire 700x42c - $42
Nimbus 2 Sport Reflect 700x45c - $33
Nimbus 2 Sport Black 700x38c - $26 but requires you to confirm it can fit your rim. You can always buy it, have the bike shop or yourself try to fit it, and if they can't, just return. Easier since many dealers are Specialized dealers

Like in my previous post, if you don't care about the presence of reflective tape, go for any of the above. I'm just visually picky because I have a hundred alterantive ways to let cars know I'm on the road

You are right, may be I should just sell the power meter away. How about the group set? Ultegra DI is electronic shift with no cable, I guess it should be lighter and smoother than GRX?

Wabash RT came in yesterday and I did a test ride - highway to packed dirt to gravel to rough pavement then trail and back, about 20 miles total. I was looking for a bike that could do all these, and this delivers. Just slid around a bit on looser dirt. The dropper seat works well. Not sure if the seat suspension made much difference, but from what I read it's just meant to take the edge off bigger bumps.

The motor is quieter than the Bafeng hub motor I rode the last time I had an e-bike. The automatic assist is pretty uncanny in terms of how it almost seems to sense you wanting to push into a higher assist level.

One note, I ordered the bike for pickup at my local dealer but provided a shipping address. The dealer registered it for me and said the battery would be sent to that address. But I'll be moved by the time it would ship, so I'll have to see if I can get that changed.

Edit: I'll also add that the riding position is not super aggressive, for anyone concerned about the dropbars. (I'm 5'9" on a Medium FWIW)

Did this come with a dropper post or a suspension post?

Does the battery come off easily?
I read a review that mentioned to remove the battery before putting it on your bike rack to make it a little lighter.

The battery compartment just kind of popped open when I put the key in, and then it was super easy to pull the battery out. It's a neat system.

I was thinking of switching it out for a seat suspension post [walmart.com], mostly so I can use it on my other bikes too.

I was so impressed after my usual 30 mile route today that I came home and ordered another for the wife.

It will be lighter but not sure how I can compare with them.
Any compatibility issues?

Looks like my dealer did not do a good job on rear derailleur adjustment. Gears are skipping like crazy. I just degreased chain and put new chain lube and did all customizations such as saddle, grip bar tape etc then I realized that rear derailleur does not work well… need to do rear derailleur adjustment again.

Awesome, will do!! There seems to be more NC/SC ppl in this thread than I thought.
I'm in the Raleigh area and my bike arrived at the dealership a few days ago. They're slammed- something like 90 bikes have been ordered to be shipped there. Mine should be ready next week (if I'm lucky).

My dealer just called me that he needs to register my bike through him. Initially his rep said I need to do it through Yamaha website since Yamaha will have all the data but Yamaha changed the rule for the registration that this bike has to be registered through dealers.

Maybe they are trying to prevent people from reselling them as new
