Don't buy that anywhere other than Suntour's website or through their official vendors (Walmart nor Amazon are safe bets). There are loads of phony versions of that very suspension seat post out there.
The motor is quieter than the Bafeng hub motor I rode the last time I had an e-bike. The automatic assist is pretty uncanny in terms of how it almost seems to sense you wanting to push into a higher assist level.
One note, I ordered the bike for pickup at my local dealer but provided a shipping address. The dealer registered it for me and said the battery would be sent to that address. But I'll be moved by the time it would ship, so I'll have to see if I can get that changed.
Edit: I'll also add that the riding position is not super aggressive, for anyone concerned about the dropbars. (I'm 5'9" on a Medium FWIW)
Backstory summary: Freight company had 4 bikes with me listed as only contact. They tried to deliver to a storage unit, called me, I went and talked them into releasing my bike. The other 3 went back to sender or freight dock.
Current: I called Velofix and they're demanding (kind of angrily) that I return the bike to them for inventory, otherwise they will not get credit from Yamaha for a sale.
A key problem for me is the warranty paperwork needs to show a dealer sign off to get the free 2nd battery. I will not return the bike to their inventory, box is gone, I've ridden it, etc. On the phone they would not or could not give me a local Velofix contact, instead telling me to get the storage unit personnel to unlock the unit and put the bike in there. Obviously stupid.
Advise.
if they d*ck around like this and cause me to not get a 2nd battery, do I go nuke and deny cc payment?

Can you weigh the battery? Really curious how much the battery by itself weighs. I have a hanging bike rack.

Anyone else in WA ordered and how's your progress? Wanted to go out and ride before the raining season in PNW.
Also, any fender and rack to recommend?
I am still scratching my head about legality of class 3 bikes in PA - legal framework is such a clusterf#$%. I did not buy it for speed, I bought it for all of its features (basically Wabash RT being perfect modern incarnation of a sturdy touring bike from 80's, like Schwinn Voyageur SP).
There seem to be some people puzzled by the use-case for those bikes. Well, in my case, I was not able to ride a bike for more than a dozen years since I shredded my Achilles tendon on a long grueling uphill. And the sucker just does not heal completely, ever. Motor is to make it possible to climb hills here without (otherwise 100% guaranteed) re-injury, with less help from the motor on straights, and 'automatic' power assist mode seems to be perfect for that. Do not really care about 20 vs 28 mph (yet).
The dealer also said that the sale has been great for their small business. He said they're still getting the full margin on every sale and Yamaha was eating the costs on the discount. So it was nice to hear that this sale has been helping out the dealers we're picking up from.
I got home and went on a nice 10 mile ride to try the bike out. Simply put, I was blown away. I was having second thoughts in the store on whether I should have just gone with the CrossCore, but those were gone quickly. The more forward handle bar position was great for riding. The shifter was smooth as butter. And the motor is so much nicer than any rear hub motor I've ever experienced. It's just a completely class bike. It was pretty fun to pedal along and hit 27mph while only in Eco mode. I can't wait to get out for another ride!
Now I just have to find a few things to finish off the bike:
1. A kickstand. I can't believe they didn't include one! 😂
2. Water bottle holder, phone mount, and lock.
3. A headlight that plugs in to the existing electronics.
Does anyone have any suggestions on those accessories?
