Pioneer for everything else. Although the DACs in this will be much better for music.
Pioneer is built way better in the amp section, which weighs 20 pounds more than the Denon. This also has Dirac DLFB built in... Denon is a purchase option, if going Dirac route you're already paying more for the inferior Denon.
If you have no brand preference and at those prices easily this is the better pick!
This is a lot of value for the price imo!
About the only pluses with the 3800 is extra two independent sub outs and Auro 3D.
