Take advantage of this gift card sale to make this deal even better.
I've been using fiveten freerider pro for awhile now and the overall experience has been great, go 1/2 up from your normal size.

Any input on these for wide width feet?
I've tried on every model in the proper size to fit me, no luck. Fox Union's are my current go-to, but they're just a bit better in terms of width.. but boy are they sticky, Shimano's are heavier but are definitely wider.

Anyone else have recommendations for wide shoes?

I'm a fan of the shoes that cover the ankles, but something like this would be great as a backup to leave in the trunk just in case I need some biking shoes.

Would I look weird if I wore these and don't mountain bike?
You'd just look like a sk8r boi from 2007. That's exactly what all mountain bike shoes look like now.

Killer deal paired with the gift card! My current pair has worn a bit faster than I would've expected but for this price way worth it.

Lots of brand's bicycle shoes on sale now. I picked up 2fo DH for $47 w/ shipping. Roost available for 50. Also found some RC Concepts on sale, but not as deeply discounted.

Use the EU size for sizing, I've found this more reliable than US sizes. I'm an EU 47 which different shoe brands translate as anything from 12-13. RideConcepts also provides a toe box width. I have an E width foot and the Freeriders have been my go to for a while.

Also, the Freerider Pro is much stiffer than the regular Freerider, which itself is stiffer than Vans. The 2fo Roost is stiffer than Freerider. The 2fo DH is stiffer than Freerider Pro, on par with Fivten Impact, but less bulky.

I recently found out the hard way that Freerider and below aren't really appropriate for park riding. Bounce a baby head off the toes at full tilt and they're not protected or stiff enough.

In for one. Been wanting to try a pair of these since getting back into riding. The is a decent CB offer right now on one of the main CB sites making it really slick.

I have very wide feet. I wore Freerider Pro before Adidas era which fit well. These advertised run narrow sadly. No wide option?

FiveTen have been popular MTB shoes for a long time. I've tried two versions and found them to have great grip, but only average stiffness and almost zero heel cushioning leaving my feet and calves feeling very sore and tight at the end of a race day. I've personally had much better luck with Shimano and Trek MTB shoes.

I use these for running heavy equipment. There is a metal knob/safety switch that hits the center of your foot, and the shank in the middle of these shoes deadens it a little. There are no shoes, construction, warehouse, or otherwise that do this. And I don't know why because the economy would stop if there wasn't a remedy for this issue. So yay for cyclists, or whatever. I just like not having a metal bar rammed into my foot all day.

I am somewhat torn on buying a pair of Canvas Freerider Pros. The price is hard to beat and the rubber is what you pay for on these. But the canvas uppers are notably not as durable as their other upper materials But for $40 something ...
Care to elaborate on your issues with the uppers? Mine have been super durable.

Unless you have tiny feet, just buy the appropriately sized "men's" shoe.

You do realize that you don't need a penis to wear these shoes? Just buy size that fits you.
