Closing this account is going to cost $30.
Just transfer all the money out...then close it. Or, leave it open with a $0 balance after transferring all money out. Am I missing something?

This bank lets you do it every 13 months. Done it 3 times in the last 4 years (with my name and my wife's). Feels so goood every time I do it as I used to bank with them and they were so rude and unhelpful.

I have a giant spreadsheet as this point for all my churning lol so I don't overlap
Can you DM me a read-only copy of it? Just remove any PII.

I have twin boys who just turned 18. Can I open the accounts in their name and have direct deposit in their accounts from my paycheck?

Yes. They don't care where the direct deposit comes from.

Good for you. Not sure why someone would judge you for not leaving a beeline to clearing out your bank account.

Got code 130 error. I'll pass. Thanks OP.
Me too. Sad. I sure would like that time back on both of my attempts.

Looks like that $30 fee is for charged-off accounts. Also, there's a $12 account maintenance fee.
So I assume the best thing to do is close the account after transferring all the funds.

How do they collect $30 from charged-off accounts? I'm guessing if they could collect, they wouldn't be charged-off accounts, they would be paid-up accounts.

Maybe I'm not understanding the word "charged-off" properly.

It doesn't have to be a direct deposit from work. Any ACH transfer should work. If you have a brokerage account (Fidelity, Schwab, Robinhood, etc), move the money into that account and then deposit it from there into the checking account and that should work.

Never knew a card like that exist, I use the debit card only for cash withdrawals.
You are probably young. ATM cards were commonplace before debit cards came around. Now banks push the debit card because they make more money on them, and don't even tell you an ATM card is an option. Sometimes, when I've asked for an ATM card, they argue with me and tell me the debit card is an ATM card (which is true - it's both). Then you have to tell them you do not want Visa or Mastercard on it.
We originally called them "check cards" to make the distinction (check card=visa/mc logo, debit or ATM card = just ATM). I'd say they started becoming popular in our area once fast food restaurants started accepting credit cards-- both no doubt from a large push by the big CC networks. Late 90's/early 2000's?

Thanks for the info. An ebay selling money will also work too because when my selling money deposit into my BOA, the transaction was stated as a direct deposit.

The real question, is this deal really reliable after all the requirement is completed? Will the bank pay the bonus?

Do I need to unlock 3 credit bureaus to apply for this? I know that I have to unlock the checksystems report before applying this.
