yeah.. i haven't been impressed with Milwaukee's outdoor gear (pole saw, chainsaw, blower), i'm switching to Ego... just got their 765CFM blower, what a beast!!! waiting for a sale on the MST1603 trimmer with the new power head.

but i also don't mind having multiple manufacturers, batteries and chargers around... it ain't like the old days where they were either crazy money or the crappy NiCADs died all the time, instantly shake head

Excellent deal! I have had this for 2 years now and got it as a gift. I really didn't want it as I had a fairly new gas trimmer already. I finally decided to try it instead of returning it and I have not used my gas trimmer ever since! This is just too easy and has PLENTY of power. The battery lasts long enough to trim my entire yard too. Now if I had a lot of heavier trimming or even edging to do, it may require a battery change. I haven't used any other attachements with it, just the trimmer but it works great.
This price seems like a deal to me!

Yeah…even Milwaukee's latest blower with two batteries, is about 50 mph and 100 cfm less than the 765 cfm blower from Ego.

The kicker? The Ego blower has been out for like 3 years.

Noticed they are selling out near me @ $149 so if you're on the fence, get it now and decide what to do later. Plenty of $250 kits in stock though.

I think I just missed it.
Clicked the link and it showed the $149.
Added to cart and it went back to $249.
Now when I click the link, it's just $249.

I think it is all store location based, some stores are showing $249 and others $149. Try selecting another store until you find one close enough with the right price. Only 2 around me I saw had $149.

Hard to tell what is new about this? Battery would be one thing I guess.

Yeah but doesn't say exactly what the differences are. The other old version page doesn't list a power comparison to a gas trimmer so I would also presume more power. Features otherwise seems to be comparable.
