To me this doesn't seem like the greatest deal unless you really want to use a S pen. You can get the A9+ with more ram and storage (8GB/128GB) for around this price. 4GB of ram seems too little to me.
Not sure if the deal is still active but I just traded in my tab S6 lite for an S9 FE and got a $350 trade in credit which brought the S9 FE to $100. Buy a beat up S6 lite if you can find one and trade it in for the S9
I'm looking for a tablet than I can use as a daily internet surfer, but also use as my band tablet - stream lessons from, take notes on songs using different apps like Music Stand.
How powerful of a tablet do I need? Would something like this work? I haven't shopped for tablets for over 10 years.
I think you'd be happy with this tablet. It's powerful enough to do what you described, and the s pen will be helpful to notate songs with
It's a good tablet, and the sound is amazingly good for a speaker so small. It is mind boggling on how much mileage Samsung has gotten out of this tablet. People should be aware that the processor has been updated over the years.
It's a good device for people who want an inexpensive venue into note taking since it includes the S-Pen and also includes Samsung notes which is a good notetaking app. The memory is weak. You can increased it by utilizing RAM Plus, but a lot of people don't prefer that method because it uses the slower storage memory to enhance the RAM. But still,at this price, it's a good beginner device. I own it and like it, but it's not my primary tablet.
But the S9 FE is a much better device overall.

4gb ram in 2024 is a no go, especially on an Android system.. I would look at the A9+ in this price range instead unless you absolutely need the s-pen, in which case I would rather get a used S7
If you need a good pen with a tablet at the cheapest price this is a decent deal however the galaxy tab s9 fe is so much better of a tablet for not much more money. This tablet has some lag and will work ok for a single application running but isn't good for multi tasking or switching apps often.
I would highly recommend waiting for a deal on the tab s9 fe which is so much better.
This tablet also doesn't come with a finger print reader.

the next step up is $300+ for the Tab S9 FE so it's quite a big price jump
