It would depend on what you do with it.

There are not many Gen 5 drives yet. They run hot. And unless you do a lot of large sequential transfers, you'll likely not notice any difference between a good Gen 4 and a Gen 5.

There isn't a huge improvement with current Gen 5 drive random I/O vs Gen 4. Most folks won't even notice a difference in random I/O between a Gen 3 vs Gen 5 in daily activities. (unless they do lots of large sequential read/write )

This deal at Walmart requires Walmart+ membership. If you don't have a Walmart+ membership and don't want to bother the 30-day free trial, Chase debit card and credit cards are offering 10% cash back up to $11 at OfficeDepot for selected account holders. OfficeDepot/OfficeMax is selling 2TB WD_Black SN850X for $143.99. This may be a better deal with $11 off.

I have the 1TB card and it is requesting a firmware update. Anyone run into issues updating the firmware?
Just went and updated my 2TB after seeing your post, took like 2 seconds.. no issues. No restart needed.

Same thoughts here.. I'd rather delete games and reinstall when necessary than jump too early on a 2TB drive for my PS5.

Holding the line for 4TB, reputable brand, but I'll jump at maybe $175. Seems reasonable enough for BF
