Best Buy also has a 130w set of outdoor Yamahas in white on "clearance" for $75 at https://www.bestbuy.com/site/yama...Id=6421598.
I assume a 10w difference wouldn't be that noticeable. Is 120w loud enough to cover a 16x30 open deck area?

I think that rating is more like "power handling" or how much power they can take without damage (or something like that). The loudness will depend on the sensitivity spec, where a higher number means louder sound for the same power input.

Thanks. I dug in a little deeper. Yamaha specs the $50 set (NS-aw150w) at 85dB (6 ohms). The $75 set (NS-aw350w) is at 87dB (also 6 ohms). So negligible difference.

I got these some months ago when on sale. Using them out back and for the $, can't be beat. plenty loud for a good size patio and sound pretty good

I have these on a back patio and they sound and look great. Does anyone have a recommendation for an outdoor sub to pair this with? The sub would likely sit on the patio, which is covered but can still get wet and is open to wind etc.

Got these for 50 bucks a while ago just like this deal. Definitely worth it. Put them in my detached garage and paired with a Sony receiver and Onkyo subwoofer I got from FB marketplace.

Bought a $50 pair a year ago for downstairs patio. Very happy. This pair will replace the Minimus 7s in the upstairs screen porch.

I was looking for a sub to pair my speakers (same one purchased a few months ago) in my backyard. After hours in audio forums, there were only a few budget options that had positive reviews - the Dayton burial (doesn't sound like the direction you're going towards) and the OSD Forza (8 or 10).

These are worth it at this price. Sounds pretty clear and could handle some base. I paired it with a Fosi Audio BT20A Amplifier Stereo Receiver Bluetooth 5.0 Mini Power Amp 2 Channel 200W. Enough to at least power the speakers and if you use the right music streaming app, you can fine tune the EQ for better sound.
