Dome tents are very sturdy, practical, and look great.

For someone who has stayed in this tent, this is one of my favorites. Super easy set-up. Also, this definitely fits 3 people.

I would assume that the 4'8" is the height and the 7.5 feet is the floor dimensions. I would agree that it is more of a 2 person car camping tent. Would also be great for kids in the back yard.

When they say 3 person. I think of sardines in a can. That's how they gauge it. Three person tent is great for two 13 year olds.

If you bothered to click the link or read the description, you'd know that the tent has a 7.5' x 7.5' floor, and is 4.8' high in the center. That's 30" per person.

7.5 feet (90 inches") wide is actually on the large size for a 3p tent. Marmot's Tungsten 4p, for example is only 82" wide. The real limiting factor is the height near the walls.
