If you need >5 hours of battery, simply carry a power bank with you. I picked up a 145W/25000mAh power bank [amazon.com] for $40. It fully recharges to 100% this P14s when battery was at 15% so effectively a 10 hour run time IF (and it's a big IF) I'm not around a power outlet all day long.
What a weird shitty aggressive response to someone going "this deal is great at the price point, I personally wouldn't do it for xyz reasons". Apparently "any preference is autism now".

Meanwhile in the real world, having the ports in the rear means your cords are never in the space where you want to put a mouse, or a notebook, or your phone. They are never taking random useable space on your desk. Or getting crushed into the side of a couch while you work in the living room and wearing out the second frailest part of laptops (power port, only thing worse is screen hinges).

But sure, as long as you are weirdly ableist and also ignorant to why my list of dealbreakers is relevant, I guess you can just say "whatever autistic guy".

Christ what an asshole.
Generally speaking Amd Ryzen is superior to Intel. Intel have really pooped the bed these days. Hopefully they get back on track but, for now, i preference AMD.

Low battery capacity is probably the biggest drawback. Plasticky and older looking design but very easily repairable

Yeah this looks like a very solid system to me. I wouldn't buy it because 14 inchs is too small for a workstation imo AND I won't buy any laptop anymore without rear ports (in particular power and HDMI). My 3 dealbreakers in a laptop now are rear ports, quality screen, and number pad. This is missing 2/3 Frown

Bought this last weekend for the same price. I'm keeping the slightly lower version with an IPS screen and 32gb RAM ($130 less) because the battery life is closer to 8 hours vs the reported 4.5-5 for this one.

Meanwhile I paid the same price for MBP 16 16g 512gb. Considering getting this and returning that.
It's Bestbuy refurb with 99% battery and 15 cycles though. Decisions decisions

Docked to a monitor in clamshell or with screen on?

Both of those times are screen on, undocked battery lives. I actually ordered both because I rarely am unplugged anyhow, but I ultimately decided I don't need the extra RAM or the OLED.

Deal worked for me with the Intel i7 processor rather than Ryzen and 64 GB RAM. It's also worth noting that after speaking to a sales rep on the chat (a discount popped up), they gave me an extra $50 off.

This has the best laptop display on the market:
1. Anti-reflective OLED
2. HDR peak brightness 616 nits
3. External Thunderbolt is 4K 120 Hz

Yeah, but your requirements are completely arbitrary. Thanks for letting us know your autistic tics I guess, but the entire world other than you may be okay with ports several inches away from your dealbreakers.

Listing says 400 nit peak? Which just a few years ago would have been almost unheard of lol. Looks great, just curious why you are saying 616? review?
