How much do you expect for a non-carrier promotion for a 4-year old base model phone?

AT&T & T-Mobile offer $1K value for iPhone 12 with their premium plans. Many are buying it for trading in with their carrier. Already got a 12 from Metro last deal, which was $50 more.

Keeping my current phones (13 and higher) as spares so I can trade these in instead for less.

If you don't auto-pay or extend service, there is nothing to cancel. You just stop paying. Based on what I have read, device should auto unlock after 12 months from activation and continued service is not required.

Use incognito window. Sometimes if you linger for too long, cart gets messed up. Order gets processed as a new number.

I got in on the free iPhone 11 deal 2 years ago, bought two using the same account. I only paid for one month of service and then put them away. They unlocked after the waiting period, as expected. I'm now planning to go for this deal. I'm assuming I can use the same email and billing address as I don't want to deal with the complication of creating a new email. I'll be using a different credit card though if that matters/helps. I would like to get a 2nd line/iPhone 12 once the first one arrives.

Google voice errors out on me every time I try to get a number. Used to be able to get them off eBay. Anyone else know of a way to get a number to port in? Would love to get this for my Dad.
