AT&T & T-Mobile offer $1K value for iPhone 12 with their premium plans. Many are buying it for trading in with their carrier. Already got a 12 from Metro last deal, which was $50 more.
Keeping my current phones (13 and higher) as spares so I can trade these in instead for less.

Update 2: I gave it another try and found my number showed as "Unfortunately, this number can't be transferred. Try another number or choose a new number to continue." Looks like I have to wait till the number is returned back to my current carrier.
I did that for my wife and kept her 13 mini. Wondering if I should get one more for later.
Same experience here .. I had to delete my GV number, get a new number, pay again for unlock and then it worked

At what point do you receive this message? After entering payment information?
Make sure you unlock it first in settings…
Set up PIN by turning on "call to listen" in voicemail tab…(i suggest 6 digit pin)
Wait about an hour
And then place the order

Once you get this message after entered the payment details, no chances to order again in Metro. They flagged your name, address, credit card details and IP. If you have other address and CC, you can try.
You must cancel your transfer to continue." not sure if I need to cancel to continue with a new #...Then I guess I will be charged on the phone if a new # is assigned?
