How much do you expect for a non-carrier promotion for a 4-year old base model phone?

AT&T & T-Mobile offer $1K value for iPhone 12 with their premium plans. Many are buying it for trading in with their carrier. Already got a 12 from Metro last deal, which was $50 more.

Keeping my current phones (13 and higher) as spares so I can trade these in instead for less.

If you don't auto-pay or extend service, there is nothing to cancel. You just stop paying. Based on what I have read, device should auto unlock after 12 months from activation and continued service is not required.

Ah yes, I remember reading earlier in this thread that this happened to someone else and they were able to reorder after waiting a while. And now that I think of it, the error mentioned that they had encountered a technical problem. This gives me hope, thank you so much!

I just tried and it is now letting me add a line again. There was some weirdness that it wanted to charge me $299 for the phone, I tried multiple times with the same result. Then I decided to try with a random phone number, with that number it was letting me buy it for $0. So I removed it from my cart and then used the same number from before and finally got it to show $0. I made it all the way to the final order confirmation page (after entering my CC info) and thought it was a done deal, but then got this:

Argh! Should I call them? Or should I just wait it out?

If your account was just suspended, you can request a 72-hr extension through the account or by calling C.S. However, if you add a new line and the device is delivered after the 72-hr extension has expired, you won't be able to activate it (although you got charged for its service) unless you pay the 2nd month for the line that owns the account.

Whenever it shows the full price, that means the phone number you submitted for checking wasn't eligible for porting in. Since you tried that number again, got it to show $0 for the phone, then the order failed, I'd call C.S. and see what's going on. You might get a rep that has no clues, or you might get a helpful rep that will place the order for you.

Someone on reddit suggested using lower case spelling for the last name, I will give that a try after waiting an hour (it's not letting me add a line currently).

You can also try adding an Apartment Number to your address. UPS doesn't care if it's a single-family home Big Grin

Do you know what the criteria is for being able to have more than 2 lines in an account? It seems that our accounts are limited to 2 line (it is not letting me add a 3rd line to my wife's account, this is after I just ordered the 2nd iPhone 12).
