Oh really? That's unfortunate. I've been wanting a tiller.

Looks like the shear pins break readily and batteries tend to bounce out

I've been eyeing the expanded attachment version. But I kept seeing people days that tilling for weeds just made things worse since you brought up a ton of seeds to the surface or something.

Is it possible to return the tool only and keep the batteries in this situation?

There appears to be someone on Reddit trying to sell the tiller for $300 and keep the batteries. So maybe sell the tiller?

If you just need a tiller buy a Honda. Mine is almost 20 years young. If this thing lasts a few years you are lucky. Get it before they force us all to buy inferior plastic battery ones for 2x the cost and parts go out of stock forever in a year.

Wild that the tool only version is 800, that would mean the batteries and charger only cost $200

I have the Honda Fg110, not that big, but gas powered and will out live me.

I have that version and its practically useless since it vibrates way too much. My gas tiller on the other hand chews through soil with no issues.

No way, I've owned a number of the 40v tools and all but the hedge trimmer have been disappointing and a waste of money. Very cheaply and poorly made
