The $12 normal price is highly inflated. A four pack is $2.19 at Target. Same identification number on the erasers, ZEH10.

Also, the four pack is ZEH05, which is larger than the ZEH10, making this a sub-zero brainer
The 4 pk 05 are the smaller (1.7x.7) and the 3pk 10 is the larger (2.56x1).

These are fine erasers (if you really need 4 of them), but I cannot believe that anyone was seriously paying $12 for a 4 pack. Regular price on Amazon seems to be $3.50 for the 4 pack and the $2.50 price seems to have been in effect since Sept 1.

They're basically the same thing. Maybe there is a difference if you use them for art, but for basic pencil erasing the material they're made from seems the same and they have the same performance.

The 4-pack you're invoking is a smaller eraser size.

I paid $6.57+ tax on the set of 4 of these (same brand, same size) when my kids needed them earlier this year.

That was $1.64/unit.

OP's deal just got them for me at $0.79/unit - more than half off.
