I will say a naked phone or some slick cases the wallet falls off easier, but I use the silicone case which is super grippy, so the wallet hangs on pretty good.
But MagSafe accessories are SUPER strong. The magnets aren't flimsy like one might assume. I was cautious too but trust me it's not going anywhere unintentionally! Now ofc the design of the actual wallet might be bad but MagSafe is not the issue here.

Too bad the loop is the most fragile POS thing. I went through 2 of them in 2 weeks each. If the loop wasn't made with some really cheap fo-leather that easily comes apart, this would be the best wallet case on the market.
My go to is combining the ESR case so the magnet is super strong with a Moft wallet, since the magnet for it is weak (but highly versatile). The Moft is a little pricier but it's highly multifunctional: fits 3 cards, and acts as both a stand for the phone (both portrait and landscape) and also to securely hold it while walking with your finger through it. Combines the functionality of a pop socket without something sticking out.
Hard to forget a phone - I used to ALWAYS forget my wallet

Some of us intentionally drive low tech cars to avoid things breaking down.
Ppl like you are the reason lower priced cars like the Spark and Rio are no longer sold in America…
I got my Spark 6 years ago brand new 10K OTD. Now THAT was a real slick deal. Good luck getting even a new car for even 20k nowadays given how everything is an overpriced SUV now
Plus, if you want to save money you'd ideally have a debit card with you so you can take out cash for the occasional bodega or grocery that charges you for the card. And that debit card is likely old school since you're focusing on building up interest in a high yield online savings and checking account vs an overpriced bank like Chase that you pay for just for the 'convenience' of withdrawing money without a card.
I swear people don't ask what they need in life and just buy more thinking it's somehow a 'good deal' to buy something they won't use but is on sale.
Also you were so condescending I had to reply with something condescending in turn.

It's a backup plan, and I think it's always good to have a backup plan
