This worked to get an "unsupported" Android phone to work with this deal!

For this to work, your phone must:
- Work on the Verizon 4G/5G network with other carriers
- Have a physical SIM card slot (will not work for eSIM)
- Be unlocked so you can port it to other carriers
- Fail Spectrum's IMEI check (not really required, but no reason to do this if it passes the IMEI check)

It worked for my Tracfone/Samsung Galaxy a54.

Instructions:
1) Go to https://www.imei.info/google-imei-generator/
2) Generate an IMEI for a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
3) Sign up for the deal using that IMEI. They will ship a physical sim card for free.
4) Activate your phone using that card.

It's as easy as that. It worked. If it doesn't work for you, just cancel. No loss.

Great deal for me - I'm on a grandfathered $25/month internet plan, so for $25/mo, I'm getting high speed internet AND phone service!

When I've called in to Spectrum for the retentions dept to try and get a better deal on my home internet, they offered to include this as part of the deal. Last summer I was paying $85 for home internet (after 10 years of it going up every year). I called them and told them I was going to switch to T-Mobile Home and they offered to give me the new user price ($55) and upgrade me to the higher tier plan, and also throw in 1 free year of Spectrum Mobile. I ended up giving it to my 12 year old. Then this summer, called again and they renewed my lower price and gave me another free year. Only catch was it had to be a new phone number and they couldn't port the old number. But the service is good in LA area.

You already got your line for free for a year so don't think it's likely they'll give you another year. Probably be better off finding another carrier. That said, you probably could get a lower price on the internet service if you call and get to the customer retention dept. by saying you're wanna change your ISP

I had the free line and just closed it about a month ago. I was eligible for this new 1 year again.

My iphone 8 was eligible and they are Shipping a new sim card.

Did you receive any notification of sim being delivered? Nothing here, presuming eSIM is the way to go

The last resort is to cancel service and sign up with another persons name to get new customer pricing. Works every time. This year they only raised the monthly price $3. I didn't call in yet. Maybe wait for next increase.

Completely free for me. Purchased iPhone 16 pro from Apple. Already had spectrum internet. Messaged chat and within 30 mins had full service on my iPhone and was given a number for free.

I now pay 50 a month for 600mbps internet and I get a free mobile line for a year. Idk if spectrum is considered a carrier or not but damn is this one hell of a deal that it doesn't seem like any other internet\ cell provider can match.

I have this deal right now. I am guessing there is zero chance of ever getting it again after the 12 months are over?
I had a free mobile line for a year that I cancelled in May and I qualified for another free line for this deal

are you paying $50 with spectrum router included or are you using your own router?

Unlikely.

I had a phone line with this offer and when the year ran out, I suspended service while I decided what to do with the line (since it was a back up line). I called in today asking if I could unsuspend the line and take advantage of this offer and they said no. It has to be a new line (either one you port in, or one you have them set up for you.)

Yes, but you cannot use this deal on that number you cancelled back in May. You have to port in a new number or have them set up a new number for you. I just tried using this deal on a line I suspended 2 months ago, and they wouldn't let me. Only new to Spectrum lines.

I'm confuse about this please make me clear.
"Please enter the Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY) for the primary account holder" I have internet service with them, and I'm not buying their phone, I'm using my own phone. Just for service need to enter SS & DOB? Why? I understand it need to verify, but my online login account is not verified? If not how I'm making payment to them?

Terms: Requires purchase and activation of a minimum of three Spectrum Mobile lines with at least one port-in line ("Qualifying Lines"). Must activate all lines within 30 days of order.

Aren't those terms for the extra upgrade service?? Click on unlimited (the one in the middle) and they'll let you sign up with only one line.

This "Spectrum mobile free line of service for a year with your paid spectrum internet" offer is not a new offer, at least for me it isn't and iirc this offer may go back 3 or more years, they are just strange in the way they promote it. I have been seeing more commercials on TV about it just in the last week but I had never seen a tv commercial about it before recently.

Going back at least a year or longer every month spectrum would email me this "get your free line of mobile service for a year" deal.

They would also offer the "free year of mobile" to me from time to time when I would call in to negotiate a lower rate for the internet/cable service I have had with them for years as a tactic to convince me to keep internet/cable service with them at the higher rate they were raising it to for the following 12 months.

I just find Spectrum to be a shady AF company as they raise rates whenever they please, this is for internet/cable bundle I've had for many years and lately this year alone they quote you a rate and then you get the bill and it is higher than what they "confirmed" with you and then I'm back on the phone again with them reading back what the last rep "confirmed" with me and then they proceed to start throwing all kinds of credits back to you only to once again raise the rates in the next bill negating any credit you thought offset the previous indiscretion.

But I'm getting tired of this dance and are getting ready to pull the plug once and for all.

Apologies for the rant - just putting my two cents in for what has been a 7 year express elevator to hell with Spectrum.

Welcome to the United States of Monopolies 🙂
