For this to work, your phone must:
- Work on the Verizon 4G/5G network with other carriers
- Have a physical SIM card slot (will not work for eSIM)
- Be unlocked so you can port it to other carriers
- Fail Spectrum's IMEI check (not really required, but no reason to do this if it passes the IMEI check)
It worked for my Tracfone/Samsung Galaxy a54.
Instructions:
1) Go to https://www.imei.info/google-imei-generator/
2) Generate an IMEI for a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
3) Sign up for the deal using that IMEI. They will ship a physical sim card for free.
4) Activate your phone using that card.
It's as easy as that. It worked. If it doesn't work for you, just cancel. No loss.
Great deal for me - I'm on a grandfathered $25/month internet plan, so for $25/mo, I'm getting high speed internet AND phone service!

How much from Best Buy. Spectrum offered Pixel 9 Pro XL for $650 included $50 sale tax. I believe it is a good deal. Is it 2 months for unblocked policy right?
So I paid 120 for the Iphone 12 from Metro, traded it in and paid 0.00 for it, and got 100 dollar GC to boot
It was crazy good deal. Didn't last long
The Spectrum P9 Pro XL deal isn't bad either if you're in the market for that specific phone. Not amazing either. If you have junker phone (I used Samsung s8 with broken back glass) as trade in, maybe a bit more worthwhile for price. And yeah, 2 months of service needed. I'd wait for next big Spectrum trade in promo palooza (look up the S24 promo they ran earlier this year)

Thanks for the info.
"Please enter the Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY) for the primary account holder" I have internet service with them, and I'm not buying their phone, I'm using my own phone. Just for service need to enter SS & DOB? Why? I understand it need to verify, but my online login account is not verified? If not how I'm making payment to them?
To clear up confusion, try calling Spectrum directly.

hi, do u know u have to port numbers??
Another example, my friend with att and me did some speed tests at the same place. He was getting 40mbps and I was getting less than 1mbps.
So the mileage may vary. I'm in MA area for reference. I'll be switching out to another provider soon.
Assume it's because our account has already received a free 12 month line previously.
hi guys? can i ask for new number? or i have to port my number
Google Voice is super convenient. The GV number is always with you, no matter where you go. No worry about SIM or esim card.
