Scam? Dude it is free 1 year of service. Anyway, try at 3AM, I guarantee that it will be a lot higher.
Internet that slow is basically unusable

And scam because even they promise higher speeds

If you currently have a paid plan, cancel it. Then, they will offer you the free yr.

I had this for my ex when we were together, no issues.

Tried, IMEI doesn't work for my two sim numbers on my oneplus 11... chat support wasn't helpful.

Seems like OnePlus phones are out of luck or maybe other phones that don't fit their list

That didn't work for my case, maybe because I've already taken advantage of 1 line free for 12 months offer or because my phone has already been activated on spectrum mobile before.
Only works if you haven't had a free line

Had this for last year pay for one and get one for free. When time came I called retention line and they didn't budge. Stating new line can get it but can't give it to my line as I had it.

Can't you just use an IMEI generator and then one you receive a physical SIM pop it into a different phone? Or do they tie the SIM to your IMEI?

I had the free phone promotion last year which ended earlier this year. I checked my account today and was able to sign up again. Requested a new number and activated on a Samsung S24 phone I purchased from Spectrum at the beginning of this year. The activation fee was waived today.

Because I recently had the free line I was a bit surprised I found the offer on my account.

Has anyone had experience with this before. I thought it was credited back to card.

Credit reflected over 36 mos. on the bill statement.

What happens if you cancel the internet service? Will the free line be $30 a month?

Just call and say you want to cancel. Say that you aren't happy with the price you're paying. They should try and transfer you to the retentions dept which seems to have much more power to offer deals and usually it's a US based call center. Both times I've done this they have been extremely helpful and willing to call me back to discuss any issues (and you'll actually speak to the same person).

Tell them that the service is ok but that it's way more expensive than other options (doesn't hurt to actually try and find some competitor prices in your area) and if they could help instead. They know the deal. You don't have to trick them. Staying with Spectrum at a lower price is better than losing you as an existing customer.
I called and tried to get my bill lower, and eventually told them i will cancel. The rep said to go ahead and cancel. I'll try at&t internet for $60 a month…
