- Make sure to select the Unlimited plan (regularly priced $30/month)
- Proceed to checkout
- At checkout, you should see the Spectrum Unlimited plan be discounted from $30/month to free
- Note: Autopay is required for this deal. At the end of the 12-months of free service, the $30/month bill credit will end and you will be charged the regular price for the plan every month (unless you cancel).

For this to work, your phone must:
- Work on the Verizon 4G/5G network with other carriers
- Have a physical SIM card slot (will not work for eSIM)
- Be unlocked so you can port it to other carriers
- Fail Spectrum's IMEI check (not really required, but no reason to do this if it passes the IMEI check)
It worked for my Tracfone/Samsung Galaxy a54.
Instructions:
1) Go to https://www.imei.info/google-imei-generator/
2) Generate an IMEI for a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
3) Sign up for the deal using that IMEI. They will ship a physical sim card for free.
4) Activate your phone using that card.
It's as easy as that. It worked. If it doesn't work for you, just cancel. No loss.
Great deal for me - I'm on a grandfathered $25/month internet plan, so for $25/mo, I'm getting high speed internet AND phone service!

Having cable/landline service doesn't qualify for free cell line, need to have Spectrum Internet.

I am already on autopay for cable and land line.
I did a total of five Spectrum transactions in store this year with zero problems in terms of billing. It's seamless. Almost too easy especially to upgrade a line (to S24 Plus from 24 for instance). You do have to insist on the right plan or they'd stick you with unlimited and for pay in full option rather than financing. And the large trade in credit they were able to push to my credit card with zero problems after talking to them via chat. Even unlocking very easy
Spectrum mobile service on the other hand has been much slower than the Tello I was used to in my area
Would do the trade in deals again any day. Not so for the service. But for free service can't complain lol

I'd think they make more off cable customers than internet customers, but what do I know?
I just successfully brought back a line that had only ported out from Spectrum 3 months ago. It was one of my kids who doesn't use much data so I put them on a US Mobile shared plan to save $22/month.

A lot of what you pay for cable goes to the networks so they have lower margins. Whereas Internet is all profit outside of some networking equipment and server costs
Care to mention, what device did you trade in and total cost out of pocket before taxes?
