TL;DR : Don't buy it for lug nuts, but it makes a nice little impact for smaller tasks. Get the 4 ah battery.

Torque Test Channel on Youtube tested this and it did rather poorly, but I have one and have to disagree somewhat. While you really do need the 4 ah battery (these seem to be very inconsistent across the board - tests disagree on the max torque and whether or not it works meaningfully with the 2 ah battery), it makes a great little impact for smaller tasks without rounding things off or stripping things out. Think most top-of-engine work, belly pan bolts, interior fasteners, etc. Shares the M12 form factor, and has a similar amount of real power to some of its competitors (Skil 12v 3/8, Bauer 3/8 with a 1.5 ah battery, 1st gen Ridgid Subcompact, etc).

Don't buy it for heavy duty tasks, but it's small, light, and works well in lighter-duty applications. Only real issue is the price considering you AT LEAST need a 4 ah battery, and a "fast" charger if you intend to use it regularly, but at $30? It's a solid buy.

Pretty poor performance for this on the torque test channel. As in probably can't actually remove a wheel with the included battery.

Also, shows at $59 for me. 🤷

Edit, I now see the $30 price.

If you are wanting to remove your tires as fast as possible then yeah, this isn't the best tool. I own this tool with the 4 amp battery and I think it's pretty decent. I've also used the Milwaukee m18 and m12 stuff. But then again, I wouldn't be using the M12 for removing my tires either with all things being considered. Yeah, don't buy this if you are wanting to remove lugs.

For $30 it's well worth it and I haven't tried one. Get it for light work and you should be fine. I wouldn't buy it to take tires off even though it claims to have the specs too. I'm sure it could for tires that are properly torqued. In for one because I have the ratchet and like it.

i bought the 2 ratchets of this same kit for 100 a while back as a package deal. one short one extended reach. I use the hell out of them, as a retired professional mechanic. Work great for me. No air needed for quick jobs or stuff on the go.

I have big guns for the big stuff. this is perfect for little jobs, intake manifolds, brakes, etc.

at this price im tempted to get 2.

Looks decent. I'm tempted, but money is getting tight, right now.

The ratchets review favorably. Are slow (all relative) but functional.

Yeah, not the fastest, but way better than doing it by hand.

GREAT TIMING!!
The 20V turns out to actually OK as shown in the newest TTC review: https://youtu.be/oNIahnYu7LM
TTC's newest vid is for the 1/2", SD post is for the 3/8". No idea how their internals compare, but there are enough people in the reviews for the 3/8 saying it cuts out with the included 2Ah that I don't care to find out. I would've loved having something this cheap and compact around, but not if it has a real chance to inconvenience me down the line.

Would this be an upgrade or downgrade from my Milwaukee Fuel 12v impact?

2ah + 4ah for $45 here: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-...122427979?

Seems like the better deal, since this tool needs the 4ah. I picked up their M12 knock off ratchet for like $15 a year or so ago. I have one at my mom's and it seems comparable to my M12. Going to pick up one of these for my mom's too. Not expecting it to take lugnuts off, but back when I was switching my tires on and off, I found it easier to just use a breaker bar to break all the lugs free first anyhow.
The same impact wrench with 2 ah + 4ah for $45 , looks like a better deal. Unfortunately, it is out of stock in my zip code.

It's only 4ah. You don't get both

So the 4ah could do 150lbs, but wonder how it would hold up on the 4th wheel after having already removing 15 lugs. I wonder if it even had the juice to remove 5 lugs at 85lbs with the 4ah. IF so, it might be worth the $50 for the 4ah kit to keep in the car.

Good deal, but I'll pass.
It's a 3/8 not 1/2, just be sure you are not wanting a 1/2" impact (all of my impact-rated sockets are 1/2)

I'd like a cheap impact to keep in my vehicle that I don't care whether it gets stolen or not and don't care if the battery gets destroyed by the heat. Guess this isn't it if it struggles with lug nuts. Cannot believe how much those cheap 12V 'egg beater' types are.

You should try not to use adapters since there will be a loss of torque. Torque Test Channel did a test and saw a ~27% loss in torque.

I understand that. The only 21mm lug nut socket I have is a 1/2 inch

Here's the Torque Test Channel comparing the two. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-8zanhlpIw

Spoiler Alert: The Milwaukee smoked the Walmart tool.

IRL, the Walmart struggled to make 80 ft lbs of torque, nowhere near the claimed 280. But hey it's only $30.
