Firstly, you need to have an active Comcast internet account. I'm paying about $40 bucks a month for that...I'm retired, so I'm poor. Don't you'all know that?
They have plans where you pay for data in tiers..$20 for 1GB of data, $35 for 3gb, $60 for 6gb. But this can be applied to 1, several or all phones in the account for that 1 price. E.G., I have more than 4 phones under the 1gb plan - $20 for all of those. Remember, we're all retired here and don't know what Data is!
My wife has the only unlimited line, she deserves it of course, after being married to the same Ahole for over 40 years. $20 bucks extra a month for that.
As for phone purchases, I wait around Christmas time or when Apple/Samsung have new phone rollouts for the specials to be advertised. But these specials are usually for new or ported lines. So what do I do: Grab a new GV number and then unlock and port it. Minimal cost. But, but, wait! You have to use that new number on the phone. Sure, but all these new phones have dual esims. So you take that new phone and port your current number to the second esim and default all calls, texts, etc to the old number. Hint: pay off your old phone first. Hint 2: the dual Esim trick can probably be applied to all Carriers.
Now, I have gotten some brand new phones from XM for free during the Specials period and they are still active. I am paying about $3 a month per each month for fees. My largest expense are for purchase of these, all under 24 month payment plans: I15+ $17 a month I13 $6. Total monthly bill for all the phones (monthly plans, fees, data usage, unlimited usage) is under $80 monthly.

I think this happened to a lot of people and of course the customer service reps acted like they had no idea. When I told them where it been delivered they told me they didn't even have a facility to receive in that location. Then upon showing them posts on the verizon web site that lots of customers had packages shipped to that location they backtracked. It was like pulling teeth to get them to remove the charge even when I proved they received the package in their facility. Honestly someone should start a class action against them over the non-return fee they keep putting on people who do return their equipment. It happened way too many times to be accidental.

I'm intrigued to go with Verizon - even my Bro wants to get the heck away from Verizon and move to T-Mobile - since I have Fios as well. If it was a good bundled price for wireless + internet I would jump - but it's the freakin taxes and fees that destroy these deals. WHY? The goal for Verizon should be to gain new customers and keep them locked in.
EDIT: and this is for their lowest end plan. With T-Mobile I get all the benefits of the higher end plan without extra fees!
