I'll require proof, not belief.

When I receive the phone next week, I will test it with the straight talk SIM card and let you know.

I got the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 deal 2 months ago, paid for the first month and didn't pay for the second month, and am now waiting for it to be unlocked.
The unlock date is September 30th

The only thing better than the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 is that it is water and dust resistant ip68, and the chipset is a little better. Can I take this deal?
Or am I already ineligible since I used the deal?

Verification is just a text code to see if number is eligible. You setup the port number on activation page after get the device.
I thought you made sense. But it doesn't work. My Google Voice number was NOT eligible. I had to pay $3 bucks to unlock the GV number, then it became eligible.

Discount only work with 5G+ Unlimited Plan, $90 with taxes.
yeah, $91.65 to be exact, if living in CA, at least that's what I just paid, off course R*****n gives 7% cash back and my credit card gives me 3% cash back, so it ends up like a bit over $80 in actuality.
Still think it's better than the $75 Metro deal, because this one in CA is using Verizon, which means it unlocks in 60 days (instead of 12 months).

It's one year older than Moto Edge. March 2023 vs Jun 2024.
And A54 is worse in almost all aspects too, from RAM to Storage, even its CPU Exynos 1380 isn't as snappy as Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with which Moto Edge is equipped.

I tried 4 GV numbers and only 2 worked without unlocking them.

You are correct. I ran the Antutu benchmark 10 on 2024 Edge and it got only around 664,000 scores. For the 2022 Edge Plus I didn't run the test but its score was published on the web and it is around 1 million scores.
Can you check to figure out which modem in in this? Hoping it's an x65, like the G Stylus.

Just a heads up, most motorola phones only get 1-2 major android updates.

They also have locked bootloaders when sold by a major wireless carrier, so you might not be able to extend its useful life after its unsupported.

I have also heard that Moto is terribly slow at providing android updates in general.

Except it doesn't matter because security updates rarely are needed for any exploit that doesn't require a completely stupid user or physical access to a device, and even today android 7 is supported by almost all apps and runs great.

While "most all apps" is true, I personally wouldn't do it.

I use banking apps on my phone and would rather be up to date with everything pertaining to security and OS updates. I prefer to be safe than sorry.

All other apps I couldn't care any less.

I have been using the 2024 Moto Edge from Metro with T-Mobile for the past 3 months without any problems, despite the phone showing up as network locked to Metro under settings > about phone > device details > network lock.

Only reason I never made a SD post is because it may be ymmv and I have only tested the phone on T-Mobile.
