Yes Google voice worked for verification without unlocking it once get device pay $3 to unlock GV for porting or try activate with new number YMMV or port different number on activate page.

These Automatically unlock with only 1 month service after Activation on 60th day can confirmed unlock date by texting UNLOCK to 611611

Ordered, card charged, no email confirmation, no verification code email.

EDIT: I gave it some time to process and called them this morning. Their "tools" were down so they couldn't help me. I'm not able to change anything within my account and for some reason my contact number isn't what I set and is something weird.

I have done this for 16 times and each time I normally used the number that I ported out to MetroPCS successfully to get another GV number without any problem. Sometimes I used the new numbers that I got from MetroPCS or Straight Talk to get GV# without any problem. But now I can't get a single GV number no matter what I used. Yes, Google needs an actual cell phone forward number on the account before handing out a GV#.

So I'm dumb and entered a number that just expired on Metro as the number to buy a phone with on Total wireless

Activated just fine. Then got phone call from Total saying no, it didn't, and porting process is stuck

Of course, the account number at Metro I've got and gave. But the transfer PIN isn't the one on my account and they can't proceed with porting

Anyone know how to get that PIN now? I don't have access to online Metro account anymore because service expired

And what if I just don't do anything to fix the stuck porting situation? Phone will remain locked, service expires in a month? Is that all?

By the way I saw ton of videos on YouTube about this GV issue and those videos said Resolved. The problem is all those videos talked in non-english languages, so I couldn't understand exactly the solution, but I saw they used VPN with other methods to resolve this GV issue.

Metro will give you the 3 days extension as long as you can still access the account. I believe even though the service expired and the account is still within 60 days, you still can receive the code to access your account through Wifi with the exact phone & SIM card. You can call MetroPCS and I believe they will help you too

Just FYI, it seems I can order another one with the same activated account and the total is 35 less (because the 2nd line get a discount) than the first one.

You can access your account as long as the account is not over 60 days (1 month of service plus 30 expired days). Over 60 days, then the account will be deleted. Use the same phone & sim card plus WiFi to access that account again. I believe you will receive the code to access the account.

Called customer care to activate the device. They said i can get new number or bring existing number, i chose to go with new number and it worked.
