Yes Google voice worked for verification without unlocking it once get device pay $3 to unlock GV for porting or try activate with new number YMMV or port different number on activate page.

These Automatically unlock with only 1 month service after Activation on 60th day can confirmed unlock date by texting UNLOCK to 611611

This phone comes with esim, if you can unlock it, it brings up lots of possibilities. For example, when you travels oversea, it's easy to get some cheap esim plan before you leave. So you can have cheap data access immeditely when you land.

You can also buy some cheap esim data only plan and use it inside US, I believe you can get as low as 3-4$/month for unlimited data access.

My 1st line activation is "in progress". Maybe that's why I don't see the discount. I'm porting GV number. I got a voice mail from them saying it will be activated like 8am 2 days from today or sth. Is ur first line fully activated ? For the 2nd line, what's the plan you have to select ? How could it be $30 + 20 tax if you still have to select the $65 plan ?

Yea, You account will be activated once you get an email from google saying your number is ported out. Mine took like 24 hours to activated

I selected the same plan as the first line, and then it shows up the discounted price $30 and the phone is free.

Can you add a second line without them necessarily sending you an SMS to verify? There is no option to verify by sending a code to the emails address. I am far away from home I can't receive the SMS.
