Yes Google voice worked for verification without unlocking it once get device pay $3 to unlock GV for porting or try activate with new number YMMV or port different number on activate page.

These Automatically unlock with only 1 month service after Activation on 60th day can confirmed unlock date by texting UNLOCK to 611611

There are mutiple edge 2024 deals ongoing:

Straight talk: No port in, around $130 ( with 3 months service), unlocked after 60 days
This (Total): Port in and ID verification, around $65 (with 1 month service) + tax + fee (total around $85 for CA), unlocked after 60 days.
Metro: No port in, exactly $75 (with one month service), unlocked after 365 days

Rewards needs a line. Instead of terminating service, try pausing it (max 90 days) and check if it works. Also, rewards become available on the 30th day. So you can possibly redeem on the day of renewal.

I see Amazon GCs available 600 for $5, $1100 for $10, etc. Same for Walmart and a few others.
thanks. I will try to find the pause option

I really messed up order my second phone. I waited 2 weeks and got the ID verification again. I got to the final step to order but I changed my mind on a different phone. I hit remove the phone so I can add a different phone. Now I am getting " ID verification in progress" all the time and the price of the phone is not discounted. I restart the order many times but it still shows "ID verification in progress". I tried to order from a different PC but still the same "verification in progress"
Then wait 2 more weeks.

I am not renewing this plan so waiting 2 more weeks would be too late.

I bought edge, and referred by someone. I got 7000 points(pending for 1 month),

If I do not top up my account for the 2nd month, can I redeem the 7000 points after

service terminated? thanks!
requires 60 days active service for each line to release the referral points. I got the (2) Samsung A54s deal only paid 1 month had 8500 points disappeared before posting on 60th day.

Had 11000 points from (2) ST Moto G Power 5G 2024 also disappeared before posting on 60th day because only paid for 1 month service.

Just a data point: as an SD'er posted earlier in this thread, I 'activated' my phone while it was in transit and in that process it asked me to select "new number" or port-in. I selected new number, and when the phone arrived here it immediately activated with a different number than the GV # I gave to port-in, so YMMV - but it was better for me to NOT harvest a GV # to take advantage of this promo, and I don't see how they can charge me any more as this is a prepaid plan. FWIW
Just checking to see if anyone happens to have a possible solution. I ordered mine Saturday so that MAY be what is causing my problem. I received shipping notice yesterday for arrival today so it may be too late anyway to not burn my GV number.

Every time I try to login, I receive

"We apologize, but we cannot process your transaction at this time. Please try again later...." and I can't do anything with my account.

Have tried incognito, computer, different browsers.

Any other things I can try?

I keep getting this, with various different cards and payment methods. Any ideas of what causes it?

Interested as well. Intend on not renewing and either letting the # die or port right back out. Kinda need a somewhat decent phone cheap so a second month wouldn't be the end of the world for this one...but curious how the unlock actually goes. I've seen some stuff that says total texts the code...but if that's the case, how's that going to work if the number is no longer active?

Also - how are people finding $2 port numbers on Numberbarn? I only see $5+.
from my understanding, you buy a number for 5$ and 2$ to port numbers. If you have a GV then you are paying only 2$.
I hope to buy a new number on numberbarn and then porting in to Total for the deal should work.
Intend to buy the number (on numberbarn) when the phone gets here and its time to activate. I dont wish to use GV.
Am I missing anything?

Still working today.
Can anyone confirm if (when this arrives and time to activate) i can get a 'new' number on numberbarn, and port that number into this phone and it should be good?

All you need to do is pay 1 month services after 60 days from activation the phone will unlock automatically. It happens through the Motorola servers so it doesn't matter if you have a SIM in it or not. All you need is network connection.

That's what I did. When phone arrived, paid $7 on numberbarn, it immediately gave me the port info and was completed the next day with Total.

Thought I ask. I need to enter a number to verify to process to order but it will send a text code to that number. How would I go about getting that code for that number, any thoughts. Trying to get a phone in Canada. I have no way of verifying a number.
