I got this last month, the service expired but I didn't text unlock on that phone during active service. Will it still unlock after 60 days?

Does anyone have the model number? I want to check if this Edge will work on at&t. I checked for the A35, and its model number (sm-s356v) is not on the list of at&t compatible phones.
According to this discussion on Reddit, https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/s/8viiCLXSc3 this phone even when unlocked will NOT work on T-Mobile or AT&T. That is a bummer because I ordered the phone with the idea of using it on AT&T or T-Mobile. I just received the phone and I guess I will be eating the shipping costs to send it back under the Total return policy. Sounds like there are a lot of pitfalls with trying to use many of the phones from Tracphone/Total/StraightTalk on AT&T or T-Mobile. Since most of the phones are locked to the Verizon network because of the lack of the firmware necessary. It kind of explains why Verizon has the generous 60 day unlock policy (versus 1 year I believe for TMobile and AT&T) for their promotional phone offers. https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile/s/8viiCLXSc3

Damn, I thought there was a decent chance it would work. But thanks so much for letting me know. I even did a reddit search, but guess I was too specific in my terms and didn't see the one you found.

I got the Moto g stylus 2024 from Total Wireless about 4 months ago and when it unlocked after 60 days I have been using it with At&t for the last 2 months. At&t does not officially support this phone and they will not send a esim to it but the phone works fine with a physical sim. All features work including Wi-Fi calling. As soon as I put my SIM in they sent a text message that the phone is unsupported but after that everything works normal. I have 2 Moto edge 2024 phones that will unlock next month and I suspect they will work fine also.

Should work on att, even not in the whitelist. Just activate the sim with a compatible phone, then switch to Moto phone.

Day 1: Order with GV number or any number which is not Tracfone related. This is just for getting message.

Day 2/3/4: Whichever day the phone ships, immediately (dont delay beyond few hrs) login to your account and go to Manage Lines page. Select the IMEI from the dropdown. Go to activate page and select Activate now under "New phone Purchased through Total Wireless.". Click I want a new number radio button and enter your zip. Input the copied IMEI in the next page and follow the next prompts for activation. Once the activation is successful, the Manage Lines page will display the phone number instead of IMEI.

Day 3/4/5: Whenever you receive the phone, just pop in the sim card in the phone and text UNLOCK to 611611. You should receive confirmation message with unlock date 60 days from the day you activated the phone online. Enjoy your new phone.

PS: I am yet to try step 3 as I haven't received the phone
This worked for the A35 deal with TW. No need to pay the $3 to port out the GV number to activate the phone. You just need to get the phone IMEI listed under Manage Lines ==> Devices and then use that on the activation page to request a new number. After that your account will show the new number and the service end date. I got the email the phone shipped and was able to activate the phone with a new number in my city instead of the GV number I used to order.

Not sure that will do it, no profile for VoLTE on AT&T in the firmware, according to the guys on reddit; https://www.reddit.com/r/USMobile...ed_modern/

Interesting. Did AT&T send you that physical sim or was it a sim you already had in another phone that you just swapped into the Moto stylus?

Google appears to be charging $20 to port out my Google voice number. Is there a better way to port out without paying that fee? Or I just need to go straight to ordering and requesting a port in?
it's $20 to port-IN a number to GV and $3 to port-OUT
it's in the instructions on the Google Voice page

I bought the sim off eBay. When I called at&t to get a esim sent to my new phone they said they couldn't do it because the phone is not supported on their network so I had them transfer the esim from my pixel 8 to the psim I had already bought. They offered to send me one though. I did activate the psim in my pixel 8 first and then put it in my TW Moto stylus.

The funny thing is my unsupported TW Moto stylus gets better service in my area that has really bad service then any of my supported flagship phones from Samsung and Google ever did. My network speeds have trippled.

I don't even see the IMEI in the manage line option. Nothing in the drop down list. The phone is shipped and on the way though.
Same, I'm in the exact same boat. Just received shipping notification an hour ago. Went to check account and there zero options under manage line options.

I'm curious why this phone is getting so many more thumbs up than the Samsung A35? I love motorola phones in general, but the Samsung is upgraded longer. Is the Edge that much better of a phone, or are more people not bothered about longer upgrades? I know some change phones often, but we like to keep them as long as possible.
Because it's 2 months old and the A35 post is a few days old lol.
